I mean, I’d roll out of bed in the morning and grab my coffee from this tiny place around the corner where the owner – an older Greek woman who spoke perfect English – would remember exactly how I liked it by day three. The square itself becomes this lovely social hub in the evenings, especially during warmer months when families bring their kids out to play and couples settle in for long dinners at the outdoor tavernas. What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night though – for being in such a central location, you’d think there’d be more noise, but the residential nature of Kolonaki keeps things surprisingly peaceful after about 10 PM.

The space feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile, which I absolutely loved. Two proper bedrooms with actual closet space (thank god, because most European apartments skimp on storage), and the living area opens up nicely so it doesn’t feel cramped even when you’re spending a rainy afternoon inside. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to cook – and honestly, with the local market just a few blocks away selling the most incredible tomatoes and cheese, you’ll probably want to. I spent one morning making Greek salad with ingredients I’d picked up the night before, eating it on the small balcony while watching the neighborhood wake up. Those are the moments that make a place memorable, you know? The building itself is older but well-maintained, and while the elevator is one of those tiny European ones that fits maybe two people max, it beats climbing four flights of stairs with luggage. Check-in was smooth – the host met me right at the apartment and gave me actual neighborhood recommendations, not just tourist spots. She pointed me toward this incredible bakery that opens at 6 AM and a pharmacy that stays open late, practical stuff you need when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. With a 9.7 rating, I expected it to be good, but what impressed me most was how it felt like stepping into someone’s well-loved home rather than a rental property.

  The house was very large and spacious, even better than it looked on the pictures. Location was perfect , in the center of Kolonaki , very safe location for solo travelers. Kitchen has all necessary equipments with coffee machine and coffee 🙂 The house was very clean. The host was super responsive and helpful. Also close to metro station (5-6 minutes by walking) if you need. Definitely recommend it!!

  Все было идеально и даже лучше, чем на фото. Во-первых: интерьер и ремонт, стильная квартира с большим количеством комнат. Я путешествовала одна, но тут есть места на минимум 4 человек. Во-вторых: условия — тут была кофемашина, вода, вкусности, ванные принадлежности и чистое постельное белье. В-третьих: безопасность района, тихий, спокойный, можно не переживать возвращаясь домой ночью
  
  Ну и отдельное спасибо хосту Константиносу за приятное общение, заселение было бесконтактным, он позволил заселиться рано и выселиться поздно. Было очень удобно!
