2 bedroom flat next to Acropolis Overview
Honestly, when I first booked the 2 bedroom flat next to Acropolis, I wasn’t sure what to expect from an apartment rental in this part of Athens – but wow, this place completely surprised me. You know that feeling when you walk into somewhere and immediately think “okay, this is going to work”? That’s exactly what happened here. The location is just… I mean, you’re literally a stone’s throw from the Acropolis, and I’m not exaggerating for effect here. When you step out in the morning, you can see the Parthenon just sitting there like it’s no big deal.
What really got me was how the place manages to feel both spacious and cozy at the same time. The two bedrooms are actually proper bedrooms – not those weird converted spaces you sometimes get with apartment rentals – and there’s enough room to spread out without tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. The kitchen is well-equipped too, which honestly saved me a fortune because eating out in this touristy area can get pricey fast. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings and just sitting by the window, watching early morning joggers head toward the National Gardens. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly (always a gamble, right?), and the shower had proper water pressure, which after a long day of climbing ancient ruins, you really appreciate.
Here’s the thing though – and this is something you only figure out after staying in this neighborhood – it can get a bit busy during peak tourist season. I was there in July, and honestly, the streets fill up with tour groups by about 9 AM. But here’s the insider tip: if you head out really early or later in the evening, you practically have the ancient sites to yourself. The flat’s position means you can duck back inside whenever the crowds get overwhelming, which is actually pretty brilliant. The building itself is quiet enough – you might hear some street noise during the day, but nothing that keeps you awake at night. Check-in was smooth, and the host was actually helpful with restaurant recommendations (skip the places right by the metro station, they’re tourist traps). With a 9.1 rating, it’s clear other people have figured out what I did – this place just works. You’re getting authentic Athens living with the Acropolis basically in your backyard, and honestly, that’s pretty hard to beat.
Hotel in Athens booking should be done early, especially during summer festival season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural and theatrical performances.

The location of this apartment is an asset – couple of minutes walking to Acropolis, a bit more to Plaka but all manageable by foot. There is a shop, bakery and nice taverns in the neighborhood. The apartment is comfortable and equipped with everything one may need to stay and enjoy the city. Very smooth and good contact with the host adds to the overall impression. Really worth staying there.

This appartment is very well located, at walking distance of Acropoli, restaurants and bars.
Hanni welcomed us with a warm smile and took the time to show us all what one needs knowing about Athens.
Great experience. Thank you both, Konstantin and Hanni.Susie from United Kingdom – 23 February 2025 (9/10)
This is a lovely apartment in a fantastic location. We were right in the heart of Athens and able to walk to all the amazing places nearby – the Acropolis and Museum, Plaka, Monastiraki etc. Despite its central location, the neighbourhood was quiet and safe with some lovely bakeries and restaurants nearby. The apartment is very comfortable and it was great to have a kitchen and washing machine to meet the needs of our family of 5. Great communication from our hosts throughout. We felt very well looked after.

Spacious apartment was everything we needed for our busy stay in Athens. A very short walk to the Acropolis and Plaka. Very walkable. Located very close to restaurants, cafes, and bakeries
What could be improved: There’s nothing more than street views- but it’s a fine compromise for the location and accessibility.John from United Kingdom – 22 September 2024 (10/10)
