The space itself feels more like staying in a sophisticated local’s apartment than a typical hotel room. There’s this modern, airy quality to it – probably why they call it a loft – with high ceilings that actually help during those sweltering August afternoons when Athens turns into an outdoor sauna. The design strikes this nice balance between contemporary comfort and subtle nods to Greek aesthetics, though it leans heavily toward the sleek, minimalist side. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re right in the thick of things. The windows do their job well, which matters because Athens can get pretty lively at night, especially during summer when everyone’s out on terraces until the early hours.

Location-wise, you’re positioned perfectly for exploring both ancient and modern Athens without feeling like you’re camping out in pure tourist territory. The Acropolis is obviously the star of the show from your windows, but you’re also within easy walking distance of neighborhoods where actual Athenians hang out – those little tavernas tucked into side streets where they don’t even bother translating the menu. I found myself grabbing morning coffee from this tiny place around the corner where the owner started recognizing me by day three. The metro connections are solid too, which honestly saves you from dealing with Athens traffic if you want to venture further out. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that overly formal hotel lobby experience, more like meeting up with a friend who’s letting you crash at their really nice place. The 9.7 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s the kind of spot where the small details are thought through, from the shower pressure (excellent, thank god) to having actual decent wifi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes. Sure, it might feel a bit more like an upscale Airbnb than a traditional hotel experience, but that’s exactly what makes it work so well.

  Loved the view!
  The deck was lovely with all of the plants.
  Loved that there was a full kitchen with kitchenware!

  The loft was so spacious! Honestly the space was so nice with all of the storage and room. Loved the lighting and all of the windows!! So well decorated.
  Speaker system was also awesome and was fun to have music throughout the loft.

  Die außergewöhnliche Größe und moderne Ausstattung des Appartements, die große begrünte Terrasse im 7.Stock mit Jacuzzi – eine Oase in der Großstadt! – die Lage direkt am zentralen Markt – viele Restaurants, Bars, die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Uns hat das „Spezielle“ des Ortes gefallen, aber vielleicht stören folgende Punkte andere Menschen: ein unschönes Haus, weitgehend leer bzw. mit Pappe verklebte Lagerräume, unten ein chinesischer Ramschladen, der Lift eng, sehr heruntergekommen, schweigsame Männer tauchen plötzlich im dunklen Treppenhaus auf…. der Ausblick geht gleichzeitig auf die Akropolis und mehr oder weniger schöne Graffiti, ab 5 Uhr morgens Lärm vom Markt, Lieferwagen, dann Marktschreier ….Einfach mitten im Leben an der heutigen Agora! Uns hat das alles sehr gut gefallen 🙂
