A&N Athens Luxury Apartments – Ermou

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Athens, and A&N Athens Luxury Apartments – Ermou honestly caught me off guard in the best way possible. When I first walked into my apartment, I sort of expected another generic “luxury” setup – you know what I mean, all flash and no substance. But this place actually delivers on that promise, and I mean really delivers.

The location is what got me first. You’re literally steps from Ermou Street, which is both a blessing and something to know about. During the day, it’s this incredible pedestrian zone where you can walk straight from Syntagma to Monastiraki without dodging a single car – perfect for those marathon shopping sessions or just wandering around with your coffee. But here’s the thing locals know: evenings are when Ermou really comes alive, and you’re right in the thick of it. The energy is infectious, though if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack some earplugs for weekend nights. The double-glazed windows help, but Athens has this wonderful way of staying lively well past midnight.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to create these spacious, genuinely comfortable apartments in the heart of the old city. I’m talking full kitchens that you’ll actually want to use – and trust me, you’ll want to, especially after you hit the Central Market (it’s a quick walk) and come back with fresh olives and cheese. The design feels contemporary without being cold, if that makes sense. Clean lines, plenty of natural light, and they’ve kept some original architectural details that remind you you’re in a building with real history. Actually, the marble in the bathrooms is this gorgeous local stone – small detail, but it shows they put thought into sourcing things properly.

The 9.4 rating honestly doesn’t surprise me at all. The staff knows their stuff about the neighborhood – they pointed me toward this tiny taverna on Mitropoleos that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in Athens. Check-in was smooth, and they’re genuinely helpful without being pushy about it. Plus, having a full apartment setup means you can live like an actual Athenian for a few days instead of just passing through.

Here’s what really sold me though – the proximity to everything that matters. Plaka is right there when you want that postcard-perfect Athens experience, but you’re also close enough to the more authentic neighborhoods where locals actually hang out. The metro connections are excellent (Syntagma and Monastiraki stations are both walkable), and if you’re planning day trips to the islands, Piraeus is a straight shot on the metro. I mean, you really can’t ask for better positioning in the city.
