The room I stayed in was thoughtfully designed with modern touches that somehow complement rather than clash with the historic neighborhood vibe. The air conditioning actually works (trust me, this matters in Athens summers), and the beds are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel-marketing comfortable. The bathrooms are well-appointed with good water pressure, which honestly can be hit-or-miss in this part of the city. Storage space is adequate, though if you’re the type who brings three suitcases for a weekend trip, you might need to get creative.

Neighborhood Charm

What really sets this place apart is the authentic Athens experience you get just by stepping outside. There’s a fantastic local taverna about two blocks away that serves the kind of moussaka that makes you understand why Greeks are proud of their cuisine. The nearby streets have that perfect mix of cafes, small shops, and residential life — you’ll see kids playing in the small parks and elderly Greeks playing backgammon at corner cafes. It’s the real Athens, not some sanitized tourist version.

  Everything! Location was perfect. As a family of 5 we were super comfortable in room. We were able to walk to every other neighborhood with ease. Owners were awesome. Left us some goodies. Restaurants galore close by. We were so happy we rebooked again upon our return to Athens. Everthing in room is top notch!

  It was beautiful, comfortable, brand new, clean, and beautifully decorated. The rooftop view was incredible. We were a family of 5 (2 adults; 78 year old grandma and two teens). It was the perfect apartment. The manager of the property was also incredible and accommodating. She was so kind to pick us up from the metro stop and provide a ride to our elderly mom to get to the Acropolis. The apartment was in a great location, walking distance from the Acropolis and excellent restaurants too. It was reasonably priced and the accommodations were lovely. We highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Athens!

  The check-in and check-out process were incredibly smooth, and the communication with the host was top-notch—always prompt, helpful, and friendly. The host went above and beyond by arranging a taxi to and from the airport at the best price, which made our travel seamless.

  Absolute Athens is possibly the nicest appartment I have stayed in. It wasn’t just the fact that it was beautifully appointed and immaculately clean, it was all of the other small touches that made the difference. Wine fruit and cakes left out to welcome us and flawless communication with the team. Then of course the roof terrace, it was like the rest of the property, immaculately maintained with a wonderful view of the Acropolis. I cannot recommend the property highly enough to anyone visiting Athens. One last point, the appartment is close to everything, lovely cafes and restaurants were just a short walk away and the historic monuments all within walking distance.
