You know what caught me off guard about ACM Acropolis Apartments? I expected another cookie-cutter place trading on the Acropolis name, but this spot actually delivers on the promise. The moment you walk into the lobby, there’s this sense that someone really thought about what travelers need – not just tourists rushing between monuments, but people who want to settle in and breathe a bit.

The apartments themselves feel more like borrowing a friend’s well-appointed flat than staying in typical hotel accommodation. I mean, the kitchenettes are actually functional (you can cook more than instant noodles), and the living spaces have enough room to spread out your stuff without everything looking like a explosion in a suitcase. The balconies – honestly, this is where the magic happens. You’re close enough to the Acropolis that the evening light hits those ancient columns just right, but far enough that you’re not drowning in tour groups at 7 AM. The beds are properly comfortable too, which matters more than people admit when they’re walking 15,000 steps a day around Athens.

What really sold me on this place is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re actually in Athens, not some tourist bubble where every restaurant has menus in six languages and charges double. There’s a little bakery about two blocks down where the owner speaks exactly three words of English but makes these incredible spinach pies that become your breakfast obsession. The metro connection is genuinely easy – I timed it once and you can be at Syntagma Square in twelve minutes if you catch the train right. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (the streets here follow some medieval logic that makes no sense to modern cars), but honestly, you won’t need a car anyway. The staff seems to actually live in the city, which sounds obvious but you’d be surprised how rare that is – they give directions like locals, not like people reading from a script. Sure, the building shows its age in small ways, and sometimes the elevator takes its sweet time, but those feel like character quirks rather than real problems. The 9.5 rating makes perfect sense when you spend a few days here – it’s that rare combination of location, comfort, and genuine hospitality that makes you start planning your return visit before you’ve even checked out.

  Great location. Close proximity to everything we wanted to do and see. Walked everywhere. View of the Acropolis from the balcony. Balcony was very relaxing especially after a busy day of sight seeing. Bedding is comfortable. Host responded promptly to questions. Loved that we did not have to worry about taking out the trash or stripping linens before we checked out. Easy entry with a code.

  Spacious for 7 people, compliment tea and coffee, comfortable beds, spacious 2 bathrooms, AC in each room, central but quiet enough location
  
  What could be improved: Dish drainer could be bigger, a toaster would be nice and missing some cereal bowls. We were 7 people so we were missing a bedsheet and duvet cover for the single sofa bed.

  The quality of the accommodation was excellent. The size and the value were great. The location was simply the best possible with shopping and restaurants all around within a 5 minute walk. It had an elevator, and that was nice. They had everything you would need.
  
  What could be improved: Getting hot water for showers was a task. The water was luke warm at its best. Small trash bins and nowhere to empty trash. No parking was inconvenient.

  Great location and great size for our family of 6! Three large beds and two bathrooms, and the washer was a huge bonus! Beautiful balcony overlooking the acropolis! It was right near shops and restaurants, but about two blocks away from the busiest streets so you didn’t get the street noise late into the night. I know there were several comments from past reviewers regarding the hot water, but I think the owner has now provided great instructions on how to start the hot water heater. It was very easy and we all took showers, often 6 in a row, with plenty of very hot water! Loved having the coffee maker and a refrigerator, plenty of towels, and whole apartment was very clean and modern! Owner was very responsive if something was needed.
  
  What could be improved: Only thing that was a little tricky was the door keypad to the main building. It beeps erratically, so you just have to learn to ignore the beeps and put in the code quickly. Never had any problems with the keypad to the actual apartment though.

  I loved that the apartment is so close to everything. It is right in the middle of all restaurants / shopping and a walking distance to the acropolis. There is a very good coffee shop outside the building, which was very convenience. and also a nail salon 🙂
  I loved that the apartments was very clean and spacious. We were 5 adults but it can easily fit 8. It is a brand new apt and we were the first to stay there.
  We also loved that the host was very responsive and helpful. It is very important when you are in a different country. He also helped us with recommendation for restaurants and with Taxi to and from the airport.
  
  What could be improved: Since the apt was brand new , we has some issue with the hot water / boiler … But the host was very responsive and brought the technician same day and fixed it. I am sure that with their next guests is will be completely fixed.
  My sister also didn't like the proximity to the church because of the bell sound in the morning. But we didn't mind it at all. I think that that's what makes it unique.
