Honestly, when I first heard the name Acropolis Dream Apartment, I was a bit skeptical – you know how these places can oversell the “dream” part. But after spending a few nights here, I get it. This 4-star spot really does deliver on that promise, especially if you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re actually living in Athens rather than just passing through.

What struck me right away was how the place manages to feel both authentic and comfortable – which, let me tell you, isn’t easy to pull off in a city where so many accommodations lean too far in one direction or the other. The apartment itself has this lived-in quality that makes you want to settle in immediately. I mean, there are actual books on the shelves (in multiple languages), the kitchen has proper coffee-making equipment, and the bathroom products don’t smell like generic hotel soap. Small things, sure, but they add up. The 8.2 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but everything works well and feels thoughtfully put together.

The location is where this place really shines, though I wish I’d known a few things beforehand. You’re close enough to hear the city humming below – which I actually loved, but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs. The morning sounds of Athens waking up became part of my daily routine, actually. There’s this little bakery around the corner that locals hit up for breakfast, and I swear the smell of fresh bread drifts up to the windows around 7 AM. Parking can be tricky (welcome to Athens), but the host gives you solid advice about where to find spots, and honestly, you’ll probably end up walking everywhere anyway. The neighborhood has that perfect mix of residential calm and urban energy – you’ll see families heading to school in the morning and groups of friends meeting up for evening drinks. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward “we’re not quite ready for you” dance that some places do.

  we stayed here about 1 week.
  apartment walking distance to many sights and lots of eating places. easy to get uber to take to further sights.
  very spacious apartment. comfortable king beds. lots of lights, windows. very quiet. lots of extra towels, pillows blankets.. ac in each bedroom and living area with remote and worked wonderfully.
  shower with lots of water pressure and hot water. wifi and tv worked well.
  refrigerator and freezer kept water, soda and ice cubes wonderfully cold.
  we didn’t use stove, oven, coffee maker etc. so can’t comment.
  very clean apartment. wood floors . vacuum cleaner worked well
  large 2 elevators for the building
  easywash brand laundromat and supermarket nearby
  we never even opened the security shutters or electric blinds to balcony so can’t comment on it.

  What could be improved: just 2 of us so sofa worked well for us but no other seating in living area except kitchen chairs ( they were comfortable). we needed to add pillows to be comfortable as a very deep seat on sofa
  tips: check in is 2:30 pm and not earlier- keys not available. check out is 10:30am
  hand soap in bathroom and kitchen but bring own shampoo and shower gel or pick up at local department store
  like many athens buildings the used toilet paper is not flushed down toilet but into waste basket ( with a cover). on every corner it seems there is separated garbage collection cantainers -a different color for each type of trash. For used toilet trash, it is the green “household waste “ one. new toilet trash can liner under the kitchen sink. just think of it as a travel adventure story to tell.

  Brilliant location, close to the bars, shops and restaurants, only 10 minutes walk from the Acropolis. Very clean. Great shower. Comfortable super king bed. Amazon prime available.

  The location is great!!! You can easily go to the shops, theatres, restaurants and bars without using taxis or metro. The metro though is near if you need it. Also the apartment is big, with nice leaving room. We loved the design of the apartment, the sofa, the tv that had Netflix on for the kid. It doesn't seem like a tourist apartment but a family one. The host was very helpful and she was answering our questions quickly via messages. The check in was at 14.30 and she accepted to check in at 13.30. That was kind of her, as we had a kid with us and our flight arrived at 9 o clock in the morning. We would definitely choose it for our next holidays despite 1 or 2 things that we didn't like. Definitely a perfect choice for holidays in Athens.
  
  What could be improved: The Check out was too early, at 10.30. As in all hotels etc is at 12.30 maybe it would be better to have it at least 11/11.30. Also we couldn't easily open the roller blinds in the rooms, we needed two persons to open them in order not to destroy them. The door in the toilet was too heavy to open it.
