Acropolis Loom Suite Overview

You know what struck me first about the Acropolis Loom Suite? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – there’s this subtle textile theme woven throughout the design that feels intentional rather than gimmicky. I mean, most hotels just slap together random words, but this 4-star property really commits to its concept in a way that’s honestly quite charming.

The suite itself is spacious in that rare Athens way where you’re not constantly bumping into furniture. The living area flows naturally into the bedroom, and there’s this gorgeous weaving pattern in the wallpaper that catches the light differently throughout the day. What I really appreciated – and this might sound small – is that they’ve got proper blackout curtains. If you’ve spent time in Greek hotels, you know how hit-or-miss this can be, especially during those bright summer mornings when the sun rises ridiculously early. The bathroom surprised me too, with heated floors (a godsend in winter) and what appears to be locally-sourced marble that doesn’t feel cold and sterile like you’d expect.

Actually, the attention to detail here is what sets it apart from other places in this price range. The staff clearly knows their stuff – when I mentioned I was hoping to catch the Acropolis at sunset, the concierge didn’t just point me toward the obvious tourist path. Instead, he sketched out a little route that takes you through some quieter neighborhoods where you can actually breathe between the crowds. The in-room amenities lean toward the luxurious side without being pretentious about it. There’s a coffee machine that makes genuinely good espresso (not that watery hotel nonsense), and they stock it with beans from a local roastery I’d never heard of but now actively seek out. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout – I was able to video call from the balcony without any drops, which honestly shocked me given how spotty connectivity can be in this part of the city. One tiny critique: the air conditioning runs a bit loud at night, but it cools effectively, and you sort of get used to the white noise. Overall, this place hits that sweet spot where luxury doesn’t feel stuffy, and you genuinely feel like you’re experiencing Athens rather than hiding from it in some generic international chain.

  • Linda from Australia – 13 May 2025 (10/10)

This is a beautiful spacious apartment in a perfect area of Athens. So close to supermarkets cafes and fabulous eateries. Easy walking distance to all the popular areas including very close to the southern entry to the Acropolis. The apartment is modern and stylishly decorated. The bedrooms and bathrooms are big and the beds are fabulous. We were met on arrival by lovely Olga who showed us everything and our host Anastasis was so helpful checking in on What's App with local info and even helping us operate the TV remote! If you are going to Athens this is the place to stay. Loved it!

    What could be improved: Nothing!

  • Fam from Austria – 20 April 2025 (10/10)

It was the best city trip we (Family with two girls, 13y & 16y) have had so far, and the reasons for that, besides the beautiful and worth-seeing city and the weather at that time, were our hosts, Olga and Anastasis, as well as their apartment that they let us stay in. The apartment is very new; according to Olga, we were the second visitors, and you can certainly tell. It's sparkling clean, extremely tastefully furnished, and full of amenities. Besides the apartment itself, the location at the foot of the Acropolis was, of course, fantastic. You don't need any public transport to admire all the city's sights.
When we arrived, we were very warmly welcomed by Olga, and she was also very concerned that we would really enjoy our short trip to Athens. To this end, she also gave us a brilliant list of restaurants, bars, and cafés in the vicinity, as well as tips on the best times to visit what. She also recommended a trip to the beach by the sea, which we enjoyed very much. Anastasis, although we didn't meet him personally, was also very caring and kept providing us with interesting tips. All in all, an incredibly successful 5-day trip for us. Olga & Anastasis, thank you again for everything you did to make our vacation so special.

A perfect stay just steps from the Acropolis!
We absolutely loved this apartment — it was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and felt like a true home away from home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and having two bathrooms made a huge difference for our group of four. The location couldn’t be better — everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away. And a special shoutout to our amazing host, Anastasis, who went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and enjoyable. This place was a gem — highly recommended!

Die Suite befindet sich in einer sehr vorteilhaften Lage, vom Antikezentrum entfernt. Man kann zu Fuß nicht nur Acropolis, sondern auch das gesamte historische Zentrum von Athen erreichen.

  • Olga from Australia – 10 April 2025 (10/10)

We couldn’t have asked for a better location — just a short walk to the Acropolis and the Metro. The apartment was spotless, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything we needed. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and A/C, which made our stay super comfortable. The neighborhood was full of great restaurants and cozy cafés. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Athens!
