Acropolis selected apartment Overview
You know what caught me off guard about the Acropolis selected apartment? It’s how quiet it actually gets in the evenings, despite being right in the heart of Athens where you’d expect constant city noise. I mean, during the day there’s definitely that urban buzz you expect from any major European city, but once the sun sets, there’s this surprisingly peaceful atmosphere that settles in.
The apartment itself has this lived-in authenticity that I really appreciated – and I don’t mean that in a “needs updating” way, more like it feels genuinely Greek rather than some sanitized hotel chain experience. The kitchen actually has proper coffee-making equipment (not just those tiny hotel packets), and honestly, starting my mornings with real Greek coffee while looking out at the city waking up became this little ritual I looked forward to. The furnishings are tasteful without being flashy, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in properly, which you don’t always get with city accommodations. What really impressed me was the attention to details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two – good water pressure, reliable WiFi, and windows that actually block out light when you want to sleep in.
Location-wise, you’re positioned perfectly to walk to most of the major sites without dealing with the tourist crush of staying right next to the Acropolis itself. I found myself wandering through neighborhoods where locals actually live and work, stumbling across those small tavernas where the menu isn’t translated into five languages and the owner’s grandmother is still making the dolmades. The metro connections are solid if you want to venture further out, but honestly, I ended up walking everywhere because the streets have this energy that keeps pulling you forward. One thing to note – Greek summers can be intense, so if you’re visiting between June and August, that top-floor location means it gets warm during the day, but the evening breezes through those windows are absolutely perfect. The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there; it’s the kind of place that gets the fundamentals right while giving you that authentic Athens experience that’s getting harder to find these days.
Exploring Athens offers visitors an unforgettable journey through the birthplace of democracy, from its iconic Parthenon to its vibrant neighborhoods and world-renowned archaeological treasures.

The apartment is 5 min from the Acropolis and 10 minutes from Plaka. It is nice, clean and well furnished, we were 2 persons. The bedroom was very quiet. The taxi driver had difficulties finding the apartment – I used Uber, but you can try the taxi driver recommended by the owner – same price, to avoid this issue.

Excellent location, just below Acropolis, walking distance from major metro station and hop-on/hop-off lines. Good shops and restaurants and bakeries nearby. The gastro tips were welcomed.

Location was excellent, the two air conditioning units were very much appreciated during the heat wave, and the host was responsive over WhatsApp and recommended some great places to find food and drink.

John from United States of America (9/10)
Great location, just two blocks from the Acropolis Museum and Metro stop, and three blocks south of the southeast entrance to the Acropolis. Nice wine bar right next door, a cafe across the street, a mini-market on another corner. Also, since 5-star hotel is 1/2 bock away, there are always taxis perched in wait right outside the building.

Apartment is located just next to Acropolis, which makes it perfect to visit all the main atractions in center on foot. Also, there is metro stations located 3 minutes away. Neighborhood is safe with many bars and restaurants. Clean and spacious which makes it perfect for stay in Athens. Such a high reviews are deserved!
