The Wi-Fi was solid throughout (crucial for staying in touch back home), and the beds were firm enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with Greek gods all night. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no endless paperwork or confused looks when I showed up with my booking confirmation.

The location puts you close enough to walk to all the major sites without being right in the middle of the chaos. You’re sort of tucked away, but not so far that you need to plan every outing like a military operation. I found myself walking to different neighborhoods just because I could, discovering little tavernas and cafes that definitely don’t make it into the guidebooks. The staff genuinely seemed to know the area well – they pointed me toward this tiny bakery about ten minutes away that became my daily ritual. Sometimes the elevator was a bit slow (this is me being picky), but honestly, after a day of climbing around ancient ruins, I barely noticed. What struck me most was how it felt like staying in someone’s well-appointed apartment rather than a sterile hotel room. There were books on the shelves, decent lighting for reading, and enough counter space in the bathroom that I didn’t have to play Tetris with my toiletries. It’s the kind of place that makes you understand why people fall in love with Athens beyond just the historical sites – though having the Acropolis as your backdrop certainly doesn’t hurt.

Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable, modern and clean bedrooms and a spacious living room. We were incredibly happy with the outstanding hospitality too.
