I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Airio Athens Suites, I wasn’t expecting much from another 4-star place in Athens. But you know what? This one actually surprised me. The lobby has this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests arrive (which, let’s face it, isn’t always the case in busy Athens hotels).

What really won me over were the suites themselves – they’re spacious in a way that’s rare for European city hotels, with separate living areas that actually feel livable. I mean, you can spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage. The kitchenettes are properly equipped too, not just for show, which is clutch if you want to grab fresh produce from one of the local markets and avoid tourist restaurant prices every single meal. The bathrooms have these rainfall showers that honestly made me look forward to washing off the Athens dust each evening. One small thing – the air conditioning works well (crucial for summer visits), though it can be a bit noisy at night if you’re a light sleeper.

The location grows on you once you figure out the neighborhood rhythm. You’re not in the thick of Plaka’s tourist chaos, but you’re close enough to walk there when you want authentic souvlaki at 2 AM. The nearest metro station is about a 7-minute walk, and once you know the route, it’s actually pleasant – you pass this little bakery that does incredible spanakopita in the mornings. The area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which some people love and others might find a bit sleepy, depending on what you’re after. Parking can be tricky (like everywhere in Athens), but the hotel staff knows all the nearby spots and will point you in the right direction. With an 8.9 rating, it’s clear other guests have had similar experiences – the place just works without any major drama, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re trying to explore a city like Athens without hospitality headaches getting in the way.

  Absolutely superb. Brilliant, friendly, helpful staff. The location is excellent – about 20 mins walk to the centre and the tube station is also close by. Lots of lovely shops, restaurants and bars within easy reach. The room was just fabulous – air conditioned and spacious with a fridge, coffee making facilities and a big shower. The bed was very comfortable.

  The facilities were brilliant- very clean, the beds were comfy and the room was large.
  It was close enough to the train that we could get anywhere we needed however we managed to walk to all of the main tourist spots from the accommodation.

  Clean rooms, comfortable furniture, comfort. Incredibly delicious, varied breakfasts. But the main thing is the service, it is incredible, the girls are smiling, attentive, sincere. I liked everything very much. I will gladly come back again.

  I had an amazing stay! The location was easily accsessible by foot with walking distance (15-20 minutes) to the Main city centre and the attractions. The staff were super friendly (extra mention to Mei!) and easy to communicate with through WhatsApp. The bed was very comfortable. Great with a coffeemachine inside the room. Breakfast was delivered to the room and it was tasty, nice with a variety of choises.
  Definetly reccomend to stay here!
