Honestly, when I first saw the name Alekos Apartments 2 Netflix, Self Check-In, I thought it was trying a bit too hard – I mean, who puts Netflix right in the hotel name? But you know what, after staying there, it actually makes perfect sense. This isn’t your typical hotel experience, and they’re being upfront about it from the start. The self check-in thing initially made me nervous (I’m one of those people who likes knowing there’s someone at a front desk), but it ended up being brilliant – especially when I arrived around 11 PM after a delayed flight. No awkward interactions with tired staff, just grab your key and you’re in.

The apartment itself really impressed me, and I don’t say that lightly. The 4-star rating feels spot on – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works exactly as it should. The Netflix setup isn’t just some gimmicky add-on either; they’ve actually integrated it properly with a decent smart TV and comfortable seating that makes you want to stay in for the evening. I ended up doing exactly that my first night, ordering takeout and catching up on shows I’d been meaning to watch. The Wi-Fi held up perfectly, which honestly can’t be said for a lot of places I’ve stayed. What really caught my attention were the little thoughtful touches – proper blackout curtains (thank you!), enough power outlets near the bed, and a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to make coffee or heat up leftovers. The bathroom had good water pressure too, which might sound basic but you’d be surprised how many places get that wrong.

The 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you settle in. It’s one of those places that doesn’t wow you with a grand lobby or fancy amenities, but delivers exactly what modern travelers actually want – reliable internet, comfortable space, and the flexibility to come and go without dealing with reception hours. I particularly appreciated being able to extend my checkout by messaging rather than rushing downstairs. The whole setup works especially well if you’re staying more than just a night or two; it feels more like borrowing someone’s apartment than staying in a hotel room. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the self check-in process requires a bit of tech comfort – if you’re not used to apps and digital keys, you might want to arrive during daylight hours just to get your bearings. But really, that’s the trade-off for the convenience, and it’s worth it. I’d definitely book this place again, particularly for longer stays or when I want that home-away-from-home feeling without sacrificing the cleanliness and reliability you expect from a proper hotel.

  Everything was absolutely perfect. Accomondation is very near to city centre with good connection by metro to everywhere you want to go. Apartment was clean, nice and comfort. Everything we needed was there.

  Everything was good once we realized it is out of town a bit . But the subway is only a 5 minute walk away and it is only two stops to plaka and monuments. Lovely neighbourhood very residential but quaint. Nice restaurants out front door straight then left or right I really liked little taverna to the right 1 block on corner very local

  The apartment is clean and spacious. It’s about 5-7 mins from the metro station. The neighborhood is safe although seemed to be sketchy at first. I also like there’s a kitchen inside the apartment. I sometimes took back leftovers that required reheating.
