You know what? I’ll be honest – when I first heard about ALTIUS LODGE by K&K, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name has this sort of modern boutique feel to it, and honestly, that 9.0 rating had me curious enough to check it out myself. I’m so glad I did.

Walking into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about the details here. It’s not trying too hard to be trendy, but it’s definitely not your grandmother’s hotel either – if that makes sense. The staff at check-in were genuinely friendly (not that rehearsed hotel smile thing), and I actually ended up chatting with the front desk manager about local hiking spots for like ten minutes. That’s when I realized this place gets it – they understand that travelers want real recommendations, not just the tourist trap stuff everyone already knows about.

What really struck me about ALTIUS LODGE was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between comfortable and sophisticated. The rooms have this clean, alpine-inspired design that doesn’t feel sterile, and honestly, the beds are fantastic – I’m talking about that perfect firmness where you sink in just enough but still feel supported. The bathrooms are spacious too, which is such a relief when you’re dealing with mountain weather and need space to actually get ready. I mean, there’s nothing worse than trying to blow-dry your hair in a cramped bathroom, right? One small thing though – the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty in some corners of the building, but it’s not terrible, just something to keep in mind if you’re planning to work from your room.

The whole vibe here is what I’d call “relaxed excellence” – like they’re clearly running a tight ship, but without all the stuffiness you sometimes get at four-star places. The common areas have this warm, inviting atmosphere where you actually want to hang out rather than just rush through. I spent a good chunk of one evening in their lounge area just because it felt comfortable, you know? Plus, the location gives you that sense of being somewhere special without feeling completely cut off from civilization. Parking was straightforward (always a win in my book), and they seem to have figured out the whole noise situation – even though there were families with kids during my stay, the sound insulation kept things peaceful. If you’re looking for a place that feels both polished and genuine, ALTIUS LODGE really delivers on that promise.

  Location of the flat is very convenient, far away from tourist crowds but very close to every city attraction. Quite neighborhood. It is large and comfortable to stay with a friend in separate rooms by using separate bathrooms.

  The apartment is beautiful (it does look like in the pictures posted), spacious (we were two friends travelling together), well equipped and it was spotlessly clean. The location in a quiet residential area allows a good rest, while being still close enough to walk to the main tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay there again.

  Good contact with the managing team which allowed coordination of arrival and letting in to the apartment.
  Excellent position. Sixth floor with stupendous terrace and view down to the sea. Very quiet because no cars pass underneath (the apartment is on a pedestrian street with steps). With plenty of restaurants, bakery, patisseries, cafeterias, small supermarket around and very attractive fresh fruit and vegetables market on Friday morning. Very near to teleferic station that gets you to the top of Lykabettus hill with panoramic views of Athens.
  The apartment is accurately described in the Booking.com site (2BR with large comfortable beds, 2 shower/toilets, dining and living room, excellent wi-fi, TV (Greek channels) and AirCo in each room. Nice kitchen, which seemed equipped, but we did not use it other than for making coffee (provided by ourselves except 2 welcome coffee capsules). With so much variety of restaurants with take away facilities in the area and such terrace it is not worth cooking in the apartment!

  Amazing apartment in the best location in Kolonaki!
  The decoration was stunning and the view from the balcony breathtaking. It is bigger than what I thought from the pictures, very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay there again!

  Ευρύχωρο, καθαρό διαμέρισμα, πρόσφατα ανακαινισμένα κουζίνα και μπάνια με όμορφη προσεγμένη διακόσμηση. Ευρύχωρο και σε πολύ καλή τοποθεσία. Το μπαλκόνι μεγάλο με όμορφη θέα. Ήσυχο καθ´όλη τη διάρκεια της μέρας. Η γειτονιά πανέμορφη ίσως στο καλύτερο σημείο του Κολωνακίου με μπαρ εστιατόρια αλλά και μικρά τοπικά καταστήματα τριγύρω. Στην επόμενη γωνία είναι ένα από τα πιο γνωστά μαγαζιά της Αθήνας για πρωινό.
