Here’s what you need to know practically speaking: the street can get a bit lively in the evenings, especially on weekends, but it’s more charming neighborhood sounds than obnoxious party noise. If you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs, but I found it oddly soothing after a day or two. The walk back uphill after dinner requires a tiny bit of effort – nothing dramatic, but worth mentioning if you have mobility concerns. Parking isn’t really an option here (welcome to historic Athens), but the metro connection at Monastiraki is literally a five-minute walk downhill, so getting around the city is incredibly easy. The host was responsive when I had questions about the quirky shower handle, and check-in was smooth despite my terrible Greek pronunciation of the street name. What really sold me on this place was stepping onto that little balcony in the evening with a glass of wine and watching the Acropolis light up against the darkening sky – I mean, you’re basically having a private viewing of one of the world’s most famous monuments.
