Athens Cityscape Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Athens, and Athens Cityscape honestly surprised me in the best way possible. When you first walk into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about design here – not just threw together some generic hotel furniture and called it a day. The marble floors have this subtle warmth to them, and the lighting hits just right, especially in the late afternoon when the Greek sun streams through those floor-to-ceiling windows.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to capture that whole urban Athens vibe without making you feel like you’re sleeping in the middle of traffic chaos. I mean, Athens can be… well, it’s a lot sometimes, you know? But this place feels like a calm pocket in all that beautiful madness. The rooms have these large windows that frame the cityscape (hence the name, obviously), and honestly, I found myself just standing there with my morning coffee watching the city wake up. The beds are actually comfortable – and I’m picky about mattresses – with crisp white linens that smell like they’ve been dried in Mediterranean air. Small detail, but the bathrooms have rainfall showers with water pressure that doesn’t make you want to cry, which is more rare than it should be in European hotels.
The staff here gets it right too. They’re helpful without being hovering, and they seem to genuinely know their city. When I asked about avoiding the tourist traps for dinner, the front desk guy – Dimitri, I think? – gave me directions to this tiny taverna that locals actually go to, complete with warnings about which streets get crazy busy around 7 PM. That kind of insider knowledge makes a difference. Breakfast happens on the rooftop terrace, and while it’s not some massive buffet spread, what they do have is fresh and local – proper Greek yogurt, honey that tastes like it came from actual bees, not a factory, and coffee strong enough to fuel your Acropolis climb. The view from up there is something else entirely; you can see layers of the city stretching out, from ancient ruins poking up between modern buildings to the mountains beyond. It’s one of those moments where you remember why you travel in the first place.

What could be improved: Sometimes, Wifi turned slowKatalin from Hungary – 7 February 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. You can see Acropolis from the living room window! We had tea, coffe waiting for us, even olive oil and vinegar in the kitchen. Tonia is a very friendly host, always awailable when needed. She helps with special requests too, i.e. finding a local restaurant for our birthday kid.
What could be improved: Actually, it's just fine. If you want a good time, plan your stay in this apartement.Bridget from Ireland – 14 January 2025 (10/10)
Everything! It was such a beautifully curated space, full of wonderful vintage furniture and decorative items. The balcony was such a highlight, watching the Acropolis light up at night time. We were all extremely comfortable staying there. Tonia was a lovely host and showed us around how to work everything in the apartment when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped and we used it several times.
What could be improved: The wifi was quite slow at times and we found the shower a little tricky to use. However these were really minor issues, which didn’t impact our enjoyment of the property.Ebere from Sweden – 12 November 2024 (10/10)
very neat, spacious, comfortable, nice view of the city. it was fantastic to celebrate our daughters birthday. taking pictures overlooking the stadium. my family likes it.
What could be improved: nothing to complainSonia from Poland – 16 August 2024 (10/10)
Close to the center and the interior – you can admire antique Greek furniture. The view is just breathtaking!
What could be improved: No private parking space – we were a bit worried about our car but were able to park it and observe from the apartament's windows.Maria from Cyprus – 2 July 2024 (10/10)
