Azelia Suites – Acropolis View Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Azelia Suites – Acropolis View? It’s one of those places where the name actually delivers on its promise – and honestly, that doesn’t happen as often as you’d think in Athens. I mean, half the hotels in this city claim some kind of Acropolis view, but when you get there, you’re craning your neck out a tiny window just to catch a glimpse of a marble column.

But here’s the thing about this place – the views are legit, especially from the higher floors. I’m talking about that golden hour moment when the Parthenon lights up and you’re just standing there with your morning coffee thinking, “okay, this is actually happening.” The suites themselves feel more like proper apartments than hotel rooms, which is perfect if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights or if you’re traveling with family. The kitchenettes are actually functional too (I’ve stayed in places where they give you a mini-fridge and call it a kitchen), so you can grab some of those amazing tomatoes from the local markets and make yourself a decent breakfast without paying hotel restaurant prices.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve managed to keep that residential Athens vibe while still feeling polished. The building sits in one of those neighborhoods where you’ll hear a mix of tourists and locals chatting on the street below – never too quiet, never overwhelming. The staff actually knows the area well, and I mean beyond just pointing you toward the obvious tourist spots. They’ll tell you which tavernas the locals actually go to, or warn you that the metro gets absolutely packed around 6 PM on weekdays. Check-in was smooth when I was there, though I’d imagine things get a bit hectic during peak summer season – that’s just Athens for you. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me; it’s the kind of place that does the fundamentals really well without trying to be something it’s not. You’re not getting a spa or a rooftop pool, but you are getting a comfortable base with killer views and enough space to actually unpack your suitcase. Plus, there’s something satisfying about having that ancient citadel right there in your sightline while you’re planning your day over Greek coffee – it sort of puts everything in perspective, you know?

All about the location! Property location was exceptional and view from balcony of Acropolis and the square below was fantastic.

  • Dayna from United States of America (9/10)

The location was perfect. We loved our bedrooms and showers. The space was big and the views were spectacular of the Acropolis. It was also very quiet even though it was on a lively street.

  • Steven from United States of America (9/10)

Azelia Suites location was was so convenient – right in Monastiraki! Short walk to Plaka, Psyrri, Syntagma Square and the historical sites! We ate several times during our stay at O Thanasis Restaurant, which was located on the ground floor of our building – so quick and easy with delicious food at great prices! Markella, our concierge, was excellent: very responsive and helpful during our stay. The apartment was super spacious, modern, comfortable with a great view of the Acropolis. We'll be back 🙂

  • Arie from Netherlands (9/10)

Spacious, modern, well-maintained, quiet even though it is in a busy area. Easy connect with owner, check in easy, good tips about restaurants etc

  • Hadas from Israel (9/10)

The location is right in the center of all the restaurants and shopping street (Ermou). You can walk everywhere. The apartment is extremely spacious and clean, it's new and modern and the host was very nice and helpful. There is a spectacular view of the Acropolis from the living room windows. There are no cars on this street. If you are bothered with the noise of the people in the restaurants closing the windows completely blocks the noise.

  • Gazit from Israel (9/10)

Today we finished a 4-day stay at the place! The apartment is spacious and equipped with everything you need! The beds are very comfortable, lots of pleasant towels to use, spacious and comfortable showers, and spacious and pleasant rooms. The apartment is in the center of the city center, parallel to Armo St., close to everywhere! The contact woman Markla was helpful, kind and available for any inquiry from our side. There is no doubt that if we come to Athens again this is the apartment we will rent!

  • Anita from United Kingdom (9/10)

Our second stay, still fabulous. Very hard to beat central location, everything on our doorstep and walkable. Markella was super helpful as always.

  • Danai from Greece (9/10)

Amazing apartments, perfect location and really top view! You wake up to the acropolis and you are 2-10 min walk to pretty much everything in Athens center. Everything was clean and ready for us and the communication with the host was easy. Very comfortable beds.

The location is perfect for central of Athens, as called Monastiraki!!!!! You have easy access to all touristic locations and not only!!! The studio is just very accommodating all needs, as 2 bed rooms and many other opportunities!!!! Just try them!!!! The apartment does not offer breakfast facilities, but you have plenty of opportunities around for this, called "πρόγευμα", depends of what you like, Mediterranean type, or just a coffee, everything you like, for 10 Euros per person.
