I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Azur Suites, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. You know how some places just don’t photograph well but completely surprise you once you step inside? This is one of those spots. The lobby actually feels more like walking into a friend’s really well-designed apartment than a typical hotel, with these gorgeous blue accent walls (hence the name, I’m guessing) and lighting that somehow makes everyone look good in their check-in selfies.

What really got me was the attention to detail in the suites themselves. I mean, sure, it’s a 4-star place so you expect certain things, but the little touches here go beyond the standard playbook. The bathroom has this rainfall showerhead that actually has decent water pressure – and if you’ve stayed in enough hotels, you know that’s not a given. The kitchenette isn’t just for show either; they stock it with actual useful stuff like a decent coffee maker and real mugs, not those tiny ceramic cups that barely hold a sip. The beds are firm without being rock-hard, and honestly, I slept better there than I have at some much pricier places. One small thing that bugged me was the air conditioning unit – it’s a bit loud when it kicks on, though it quiets down after a few minutes.

The staff here seems genuinely happy to be there, which you can usually tell within about thirty seconds of walking up to the front desk. Check-in was smooth, and when I mentioned I was in town for a conference, the desk clerk actually gave me some solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. The 8.7 rating this place has makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of spot that doesn’t try to be flashy or oversell itself, but delivers on the fundamentals really well. You’re paying for comfort and reliability here, not Instagram moments, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. If you’re looking for a place where you can actually relax and feel settled in, rather than just crash for the night, Azur Suites hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Perfect place to stay in Athens!!! Great location! Shops restaurants are nearby so it’s makes your stay more enjoyable! I would definitely recommend it!
