The location works well too, though you’ll want to grab a taxi if you’re planning to hit multiple neighborhoods in one day. It’s close enough to the center that you can walk to the main sites, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the chaos of Monastiraki at all hours. I actually enjoyed the evening stroll back – gave me a chance to decompress and watch the city settle into its nighttime rhythm. The 7.8 rating makes sense to me; it’s solid without being spectacular, but honestly, sometimes that’s exactly what you need in a city like Athens where the main attraction is everything happening outside your hotel anyway.

  I got a free room upgrade to junior suite. The suite was really nice and comfortable.
