I’ll be honest – when I first stumbled across Casita Athens, I wasn’t expecting much from another boutique hotel in the city. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in all the right ways. There’s something refreshing about a 4-star property that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies or over-the-top amenities. Instead, it just gets the fundamentals really, really right.

The moment you walk in, you get this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. I mean, the staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing – not that rehearsed hospitality you get at some places, but actual helpful insights about the neighborhood. They pointed me toward this incredible little taverna just a few blocks away that I never would have found otherwise. The rooms themselves have this comfortable, lived-in elegance that feels more like staying at a well-designed friend’s apartment than a sterile hotel room. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and honestly, the shower pressure was better than what I have at home. Small thing, but it matters when you’re walking around Athens all day.

What really sets Casita Athens apart is how it fits into the actual rhythm of the city rather than trying to shield you from it. You’ll hear the gentle hum of neighborhood life – which I actually found charming rather than disruptive – but the soundproofing is good enough that you’re not dealing with traffic noise at 6 AM. The breakfast situation is thoughtfully done too; nothing fancy, but quality ingredients and they actually know how to make proper Greek coffee. I spent most mornings just sitting in their little courtyard area, planning my day and watching the city wake up. The location puts you close enough to the main attractions that you can easily walk to most places, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you feel like you’re experiencing a more authentic side of Athens. The whole experience just feels… well, genuine, I guess. With a 9.1 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks so. It’s the kind of place where you actually look forward to coming back at the end of the day, rather than just treating it as somewhere to crash.

  Εξαιρετικός ο ιδιοκτήτης!!! Πολύ φιλικός και σε οτιδήποτε χρειάστηκα ανταποκρίθηκε και με το παραπάνω. Το σπίτι πολύ προσεγμένο, άνετο και σε βολική τοποθεσία.

  The apartment was beautiful, The owner was super accommodating as we did not arrive till early hours of the morning .The apartment is in a fab location also 10 min walk from metro which is super easy to navigate and is about a 15 min ride to center of athens .you can catch metro to pirus port and to airport from the local metro .2 supermarkets locally also a super cheap sports bar owner is lovely and food is amazing at dirt cheap prices highly recommended ,also the bakery across Rd at bottom of hill is a must for your morning coffee and pastry .I highly recommend this apartment 10/10 big thank you for hosting us 🙏 Amazing holiday sad to leave me and my daughter had a wonderful time.

  Very good location, 2 supermarkets, bakery, restaurant at 1 minute walk, excellent value for money.
  In apartment you will find everything you need, also A/C. Would stay again in Modern apartment.

  Good location – 10 minutes away from metro and close to supermarket and bakery.
  
  What could be improved: Dishes and cutlery were filthy – had to wash them again. The apartment smelled of fish through our whole stay from the moment we walked in. In the bathroom, the drain was overflowing, clearly clogged and there was laundry already in the laundry basket, which seemed a bit weird.

  It felt like home.
  All facilities that needed were included.
  3 super markets in a distance of 3 minutes. A bakery next to it and the metro station about 6 minutes away. 100% recommended and I would prefer it again on my next trip.

  This place is perfect. It had everything we needed. It had a fully functioning kitchen, washing machine, clothes line, air con, and its close to the grocery store and even the hospital, near the bus stop to get to the main city. I would stay here again.
  
  What could be improved: If you are catching a train from the airport or the ferry terminal to get to the apartment, it is a bit far from the train station and if you have large luggage/s with you be wary there are hills you have to climb. Best choice is a taxi, dont hail for a taxi (its impossible to get a taxi) go on uber and book a taxi online instead. Other than that the apartment is perfect.

  The apartment was fully equiped wth all the essentials and it was in a great location, between two metro stations and very central.
  
  What could be improved: the shower/bathroom. It was a bit dark and small. The sink in the bathroom can be a bit dysfunctional and the shower was a bit small for me

  The apartment is located in a very good place just 1 square away from the main Kifisias and the Katechaki Road. Supermarkets near. Very good places to eat at all time also near. Also Pharmacy very close too. Clean place and the couch in the living room so comfortable that me and my wife preferred to sleep there by the tv than going in the bedroom. Taxis also easy to find it and pick you up from there.
  
  What could be improved: The only problem with the whole area is that you can’t find a place buy or charge reusable bus tickets so make sure to already have that before you get there. I walked around 3 km and asked 4-5 suppose to sale-tickets kiosks that they didn’t have. But ofc that’s not apartments fault ofc just giving you a hint.
  We were there on Sept and not that hot days so we didn’t need to use the a/c but there’s one and only in bedroom so you have to choose between bed & A/C or Couch & TV.
