The terrace is where you’ll spend most of your time though, especially in the evenings when the temperature drops and the city lights start twinkling below. I loved having my morning coffee out there, watching Athens wake up – you can hear the sounds from Plaka drifting up, but it’s not overwhelming noise, more like a gentle urban soundtrack. The space is smart about storage too, which actually matters when you’re living out of a suitcase for a few days.

What really struck me about this place is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re close enough to walk to all the major sites (the Acropolis Museum is maybe ten minutes downhill), but you’re also in a genuinely residential area where locals are going about their daily lives. There’s a little bakery around the corner that most tourists never find – the woman there doesn’t speak much English, but she’ll gesture enthusiastically at whatever’s fresh that morning. The nearby streets get busy during the day when tour groups are moving between sites, but by evening it settles into this lovely, lived-in calm. I mean, you can still hear the occasional motorbike – this is Athens after all – but it’s not the constant hustle you get closer to Syntagma Square. The fact that this place maintains a 9.4 rating makes complete sense once you’re there; it’s one of those spots that delivers exactly what it promises, which is rarer than you’d think in a city with so many tourist accommodations.

  It is a small peaceful gem on the top of the roof. The apartment is located in the very center of busy neighborhood of Athens but it feels so quiet and isolated at the same time. I also like communication with the host and their attitude. They were very attentive and communicated everything properly.

  The location was perfect, as soon as you walked out of the building and turned right, you were at numerous restaurants and bars and could walk endlessly and so much great food of all cultures.
  Room is really cute perfect for 1 person or a couple, if you have big suitcases will need to try and make space. Balcony is cute and perfect to lounge once the sun is cooling down!
  Host was lovely and messaged all the details punctually, I had trouble with some communication on the day and she was happy to help me and provide further assistance if needed. She was very lovely over the phone and checked in during my stay from WhatsApp

  It was very private and quiet. Just a few buildings away from a nice little plaza. Great covered terrace. Very convenient for a site-seeing base. Nice bathroom, good shower pressure.

  The house and the terrace were amazing. The house is within walking distance to the Metro station and the city center. The area is lively with lots of taverns and cafes.
