Chris AKROPOLI Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Chris AKROPOLI? The name had me expecting some touristy Greek-themed place with fake columns and overly dramatic decor, but honestly, this 4-star spot surprised me in the best way. When I first walked into the lobby, there’s this understated elegance that feels more authentic than flashy – sort of like they let the quality speak for itself rather than shouting about it.

The thing is, with an 8.0 rating, you’re getting exactly what you’d hope for without any major letdowns. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s solidly dependable in ways that actually matter when you’re traveling. The rooms have this comfortable, lived-in quality that makes you feel settled pretty quickly. The beds are genuinely comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathrooms are well-maintained with decent water pressure – you know, those details that can make or break a stay. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even when the place seems pretty full. The soundproofing is better than you’d expect, which is huge if you’re someone who needs proper sleep while traveling.

The staff actually knows what they’re doing, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how rare that’s becoming. Check-in was smooth, and when I had a question about getting around the area, the front desk person gave me real directions, not just generic tourist advice. They seem to genuinely care about making sure you have what you need without being overly fussy about it. Honestly, the whole place has this refreshing lack of pretension – it’s a 4-star hotel that acts like one, not a 3-star trying too hard or a 5-star that’s lost its soul. The common areas are comfortable without being stuffy, and there’s usually a good mix of business travelers and leisure guests, which creates a nice, relaxed atmosphere. If you’re looking for something reliable with solid service and no unpleasant surprises, Chris AKROPOLI delivers on that promise pretty consistently.

  • Sukhbeer from United Kingdom – 30 May 2025 (8/10)

Spacious appartment with all kitchen utensils, appliances and bathroom accessories. Even had a washing machine and coffee machine.

  • Belinda from Malaysia – 7 August 2024 (8/10)

Great location within walking distance to Acropolis and Old town. Metro is just 200m that will that you to Periaus Port. The space is good for a group of six. Very clean and full kitchen facilities that enable us to prepare cooked breakfast. Good air cond for summer stay.

What could be improved: The risk of security and safety of the place. Do not leave any valuable things in the apartment because someone can come in without any break in evidence.. We had bad experience and lost personal items.
Otherwise the place is perfect for stay in Athen!

The bathroom can be improved if there is shower curtain.

  • Rachel from United Kingdom – 29 July 2024 (8/10)

Chris met us at 2400 to check in with a smile on his face! Wonderful customer service. The house was clean and 5 minutes to the subway we rode in from the airport. I would definitely come back.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Alexia from Cyprus – 19 May 2023 (8/10)

  • Chance from United States – 21 February 2023 (8/10)

very clean and spacious. great location.

What could be improved: whoever is upstairs is SOOOOOO LOUDDDDD. Who screams for 3 hours straight?

  • Indira from Spain – 3 October 2022 (8/10)

    Everything

  • Hamid from Netherlands – 25 July 2022 (8/10)

The location was really good, right near a walking area and all the main sightseeing locations were on walking distance.
Acropolis, plaka etc are max 15 minutes.
Apartment was newly renovated and nicely done.

What could be improved: Some minor things need to be fixed like a missing shower curtain and the front door makes noise when the main door is being shut.
Also the neighbourhood more away from the center is a bit sketchy.
