I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name CityLiv Concept by LobbySquare, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It sounds a bit corporate, you know? But after staying there, I get why they went with “concept” because this place really does feel different from your typical 4-star hotel.

What struck me right away was how they’ve managed to create this sort of urban sanctuary vibe without being pretentious about it. The lobby has this interesting mix of industrial touches and warm lighting that actually works – I mean, you see a lot of hotels trying too hard with the “concept” thing, but here it feels genuine. The check-in was refreshingly quick, and the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood well, which is rarer than you’d think. They pointed me toward a fantastic coffee spot just around the corner that I never would have found on my own.

The rooms are where this place really shines, honestly. Everything feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together by some hotel chain committee. The bed was properly comfortable (not too soft, not like sleeping on concrete), and there’s actually decent storage space – something I’ve learned not to take for granted after years of cramming my stuff into tiny hotel wardrobes. The bathroom had good water pressure and those little touches that show someone was paying attention, like hooks in places where you’d actually want to hang things. I appreciated that the windows opened too; so many modern hotels seal you in completely, but here you can get some fresh air if you want it.

Location-wise, you’re in the thick of things without being stuck in tourist central. I could walk to most places I wanted to go, and when I needed to venture further out, transport connections were solid. The area has that nice buzz during the day but settles down enough at night that you can actually sleep – trust me, that balance isn’t easy to find in most cities. There’s a good mix of local spots and more polished restaurants within walking distance, so you’re not stuck eating hotel food or hunting around for decent meals.

The whole LobbySquare management thing shows in the details, I think. Nothing felt cheap or like they were cutting corners to save a few bucks. Even the WiFi worked properly throughout the building (revolutionary, I know). Housekeeping was thorough without being intrusive, and the common areas stayed clean and comfortable even when the hotel was clearly busy.

Look, it’s not the cheapest option you’ll find, but for what you get – the thoughtful design, solid service, and that rare feeling that someone actually cares about the guest experience – it’s worth the extra cost. I’d definitely stay here again, which honestly isn’t something I say about most places. Sometimes you find a hotel that just gets it right without making a big fuss about it, and CityLiv Concept is one of those spots.

  It was probably a shop/ store which they converted to accommodation.
  It was nice and clean but not having any light/sunshine coming through made it quite depressing

  Μείναμε στο κατάλυμα αρχές Οκτωβρίου. Ήταν αναπάντεχο το ότι πρόκειται για παλιό ισόγειο κατάστημα που έχει μετατραπεί σε διαμέρισμα δύο δωματίων και δύο μπάνιων. Όλη η διαρρύθμιση του χώρου ήταν πάρα πολύ ωραία σε ένα πολύ βολικό χώρο στο οποίο μπορούσαν 4 άτομα να μείνουν για αρκετό καιρό και να απολαύσουν τις διακοπές τους. Επίσης το ότι βρίσκεται στο Παγκράτι κάνει εύκολα προσβάσιμο το κέντρο της Αθήνας ακόμα και με τα πόδια. Είχε πολύ ωραία έπιπλα και πολύ ωραία κουζίνα, ενώ τα μπάνια ήταν και οι κρεβατοκάμαρες ήταν άνετα με άπλετο χώρο. Γενικά ήταν επίσης πολύ ήσυχο, αν και βρίσκεται επί κεντρικού δρόμου του Παγκρατίου.
  
  What could be improved: Ενώ το κατάλυμα είναι πλήρως ανακαινισμένο, χρειάζεται ακόμα αλλαγή η τζαμαρία του παλιού μαγαζιού επί του πεζοδρομίου, διότι προκαλεί κάποια ανασφάλεια στους ενοίκους, αφού πρόκειται για κεντρικό δρόμο της Αθήνας και το λεπτό τζάμι μπορεί να σπάσει εύκολα. Επίσης μειώνουν την αισθητική του χώρου οι κουρτίνες που καλύπτουν τη τζαμαρία, οι οποίες ευτυχώς δεν αφήνουν το φως να μπει στο χώρο και προσφέρουν επαρκή κάλυψη από τα βλέμματα των περαστικών. Χρειάζονται επίσης ειδικές λαβές για το κρέμασμα των πετσετών στα μπάνια, ώστε να είναι ακόμα πιο άνετη η διαμονή των επισκεπτών και η εξυπηρέτηση τους.

  Our host was very accommodating, especially as we landed so much earlier than check-in. We loved the floorplan and the decor. We felt a little exposed, but there was a ton of dining in every direction. All kinds of cuisine as well. Quiet neighborhood but a cute little park nearby. Transportation was good, too. There were several buses that went to popular sites and neighborhoods just steps away. Less than a 10-minute walk away was a bus to the airport as well (I wouldn't advise this if you are traveling with a lot of luggage, though).
  
  What could be improved: There was only one key to the unit, which wouldn't be a problem; however, you also needed it to lock the door from the inside. So the group couldn't split up to go out at night without 1) locking someone inside the apt (pretty scary and dangerous) or 2) waking them up to let you in (pretty annoying). Also, this didn't affect our stay, but I think the following would be great improvements: hooks for towels in the bathroom and shelves in the shower for body wash/ soap.

  It is very clean. I liked the location. It’s not very close to the tourist area so you need to walk or take the subway to get to the archeological site but I like it like this because the tourist Plaka place is noisy and dirty whereas this one is quiet, safe, clean, with different restaurants and bakeries and groceries etc. Also the owner is very responsive

  Instruction sent before and clear. simple to collect the key and the door is just by the key box, you don't need to struggle to find the building.
