It’s not just decorated – it’s like someone who genuinely loves art and design decided to create a space where you’d want to spend time, not just crash for the night. The pieces on the walls aren’t your typical hotel prints (you know the ones I’m talking about), but actual interesting works that make you pause and look twice. I found myself taking photos not for Instagram, but because I genuinely wanted to remember some of these details. The furniture has this perfect balance of being museum-quality beautiful but still comfortable enough that you’ll actually use it. That 4-star rating feels right – it’s polished and sophisticated without being stuffy or intimidating.

What really impressed me, though, was how lived-in it felt despite being so carefully designed. The lighting is warm and layered – none of those harsh overhead lights that make hotel rooms feel clinical. There’s this attention to textures too, from the linens to the rugs, that makes everything feel tactile and welcoming. Honestly, the 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’re there for a day or two. You start noticing all these small touches that show someone really thought about how people actually use a space. The kitchen setup is particularly smart if you’re the type who likes to grab local ingredients and cook a bit (which I definitely recommend if you’re staying more than a couple nights).

I will say, if you’re someone who needs everything spelled out for you or prefers the predictability of a chain hotel, this might feel a bit more independent than you’re used to. But that’s honestly part of what makes it special – it feels more like borrowing a really well-designed friend’s apartment than staying in a typical accommodation. The whole experience has this understated elegance that grows on you. You know how some places try so hard to impress that it feels forced? This is the opposite of that.

  If there is a rating above exceptional and above 5 stars i would have given it Darsiss apartment. The best apartment we have ever stayed, the cleanliness is more than words could describe, and the apartment has everything just like you are home. The staff is super amazing, Svetlana took very good care of us, our flight was delayed and we came in almost 12am, she organised a taxi, she always check on us by messaging and she waited for us to check us in at 12am. We were so tired and hungry, but to our surprise, she left us a bowl full of different types of fruits, a bottle of wine, and a large bottle of water. Throughout our stay, we never have a single complaint, and this makes me and my family be at peace with no cause for argument. Iet me not forget to mention that the staff provided for all our needs, from chargers to stroller etc. The location is excellent, and the best thing about Darsiss museum apartment is that you will always have a very good night rest, with an excellent super comfy clean bed, and very quiet both day and night. Thank you very much, Darsiss apartment. You made our stay in Athens enjoyable.

  Everything was amazing! Svetlana was such a wonderful person who cared and worked so hard to accommodate us. She let us check in very early and came over to show us the apartment and answer all of our questions. She was also very responsive and replied to our messages promptly.

  Lovely flat, equipped with everything we could need. Really comfortable for the 4 of us and room for more. Svetlana met us there and gave us lots of information. There were lots of shops, restaurants and takeaways nearby and it is within walking distance of many places of interest.

  Accommodation is not in a tourist area, and the nearby restaurants and bars are frequented by locals, which gave us a more authentic experience and a break from crowded tourist areas.
