There’s this amazing little bakery literally around the corner where I grabbed coffee every morning – the owner barely spoke English but would always wave when she saw me coming. The metro is maybe a seven-minute walk, which saved me so much money on taxis, and there are these fantastic tavernas tucked into side streets that you’d never find if you were staying in some generic hotel near Syntagma.

What really impressed me was how thoughtfully the space is designed. The two bedrooms are actually spacious enough that my travel companion and I weren’t stepping on each other constantly, which – let’s face it – doesn’t always happen with European accommodations. The kitchen is properly equipped too, not just some sad mini-fridge situation. I ended up cooking a few dinners with ingredients from the local market, and it felt surprisingly natural. The wifi was solid (crucial for me since I had to work a few days), and honestly, the whole place just felt… lived-in? In a good way. Like someone actually cares about the space rather than just cramming in generic furniture. The 9.6 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where all the little details just work together. Check-in was smooth, the building felt secure, and I never had issues with noise even though you’re right in the middle of everything. If you’re planning to explore Athens beyond the Acropolis and want a base that feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in a hotel, this is exactly what you’re looking for.

  The accommodation is in a quiet street, which we loved after exploring Athens all day. Only a short walk away, you can find a yummy bakery, restaurants. Constantine helped us make a booking one night at one of their locals.
  The bed is very comfortable, and it's very peaceful at night. I have shared the accommodation with friends already as it's very convenient, and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

  The house was equipped with everything needed in kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom and appliances, very well maintained, clean and great location, walking distance from the center of Athens and located in a nice neighborhood, the host Constantine is very responsive and provides a lot of information regarding what you can explore in the neighborhood and Athens.

  L'appartamento è bellissimo. Area soggiorno, lavatrice, asciugatrice, frigo tostapane, piastre a induzione, smart TV, due terrazze. Pulito, caldo, stile moderno, completo di tutto. Ottima la posizione. Accolti con una bottiglia di vino in omaggio.
  
  What could be improved: Unico inconveniente è stato doverci recare subito a fare il check in una volta arrivati all'areoporto senza poter prima andare a fare un giro (la co-host non poteva in altri orari) ma credo che ci sia stato un malinteso durante la prenotazione ed in ogni caso questo piccolo inconveniente è stato ben ripagato dalla qualità dell'alloggio.
