Look, I’ll be straight with you about Elegance in Athens – this place actually lives up to its name, which honestly surprised me a bit. You know how hotel names can be, well, optimistic? But when I walked into the lobby, there was this immediate sense that someone really thought about every detail. The marble floors aren’t the cold, sterile kind you see everywhere – they’ve got this warm honey tone that catches the light just right, and the whole space has this subtle scent of jasmine that I’m pretty sure isn’t from some generic hotel air freshener.

What really got me was how the staff seemed to know the city inside and out. I mean, sure, you expect basic tourist info, but when I mentioned wanting to find a good souvlaki spot away from the Plaka crowds, the concierge didn’t just point me toward some generic recommendation. He actually sketched out a little route through Psyrri and mentioned this tiny place near Iroon Square where the locals go – and he was right, it was incredible. The rooms themselves strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and Greek character. Mine had these floor-to-ceiling windows that opened (actually opened, not just cracked) onto a quiet side street, so you get the city sounds without feeling like you’re sleeping on a busy avenue. The bed was properly firm – none of that sinking-into-quicksand feeling some boutique places seem to think is luxurious.

I stayed there during shoulder season in late April, which turned out to be perfect timing. The neighborhood comes alive in the evenings when the tavernas start filling up, but mornings are beautifully quiet for coffee on the small balcony. Speaking of coffee, they’ve got this little espresso setup in each room that actually makes decent coffee – not amazing, but way better than those pod machines you usually get. The bathroom deserves a mention too, mostly because the shower pressure was fantastic (trust me, this matters after a day of climbing around the Acropolis), and they stock these lovely olive oil-based toiletries that smell like the Mediterranean without being overpowering. Honestly, with a 9.1 rating, I went in expecting maybe some inflated expectations, but if anything, I think they’re being modest. The only tiny complaint I’d have is that the elevator’s a bit slow – but that gave me an excuse to use the beautiful staircase with its wrought iron railings. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere special without trying too hard to impress you, if that makes sense.

  This property is in a fantastic location and within walking distance of some of the attractions. Maria is very approachable and helpful. Great Cafe/Restaurant and a small Market shop across the road

  The balcony was very big, very pleasant surprise. The location was also perfect, just around a 10/15 minute walk. Supermarket was around the corner. With all the walking that we did in Athene we were very happy with the elevator. Also the communication with Maria was perfect, fast replies and very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The streets around the appartement aren't the cleanest nor the prettiest. But we knew that, so it was no big deal for us.

  Super apartment with everything you need for your stay. 5th floor with a fantastic view of the Acropolis. Outdoor space was very unexpected, weather was great so we could sit out in the evenings. Maria was so helpful, access to apartment using a key safe code, there is a lift for those who don't want to take the stairs after a day of exploring. Maria left us a useful map and was on hand at all times.
  Mini supermarket just across the street, Sweet Baker no more than 10 mins, lovely fresh baked bread and cookies (highly recommend)
  Approx 20 mins from Acropolis, 25 mins to Ancient Agora, 30 mins to Olympic Stadium ~ We like to stay on the outskirts and walk everywhere and we did just that, exploring lots of the little streets.
  We also booked airport transfer through booking.com – watch out for the deals, we got a great one, had never used the service before! Our driver was brilliant 🤩

  Fully loaded spacious cozy apartment with wrap around terrace situated in a secured residential area with only 10 minutes to Plaka. Nice view of Acropolis A very homely feel with a wonderful & helpful host- Maria. Great value for money:-)

  The apartment is in five minutes walking distance from metro "neos kosmos" meaning totally close to the heart of Athens. Very quiet neighborhood amazing acropolis view! The apartment was also very clean and you could even smell it! The bed is super comfortable also!
  
  What could be improved: Although it was clean the floor it was dusty. I think a mini renovation is definitely needed.

  1. The marvelous view of Acropolis, viewed from its wide balcony…it's breathtaking, surreal…can't get enough of it.

  3. The apartment is within 8 mins of nearest tram & metro station. We took daily ticket pass and got to see the beauty of Greece.
  
  4. Close to Acropolis, Plaka, Museums, Stadium Panathenaic & other places we'd like to go, awesome.
  
  What could be improved: Perhaps just the kettle that broke down the day before we left. So i miss 1 day of drinking coffee while enjoying Acropolis view 😊
