The staff here – honestly, they seem to genuinely like their jobs, which is rarer than it should be. Check-in was smooth, and the guy at the front desk actually remembered my name when I passed by later (without looking at his computer, I noticed). My room was on the third floor, and I’ll tell you, the soundproofing is legit – even though I was facing what seemed like a busier street, I barely heard any traffic noise. The bed situation is serious too; they’ve got these thick, weighty comforters that somehow don’t make you overheat, and pillows that actually support your neck instead of just existing as decorative lumps. Little things matter when you’re trying to sleep in an unfamiliar place, you know?

What really sold me on this place was the attention to details that most hotels completely overlook. The bathroom had actual counter space (revolutionary concept, apparently), and the shower pressure was strong enough to wake you up but not aggressive enough to feel like you’re being power-washed. They stock proper coffee in the rooms – not those weird pod things that taste like cardboard – and the minibar prices won’t make you weep. I spent a good chunk of one evening just sitting by the window with a book and some wine I’d grabbed from their little market downstairs, watching people walk by and feeling like I’d found this perfect little pocket of calm. The whole experience just flows really naturally, if that makes sense. It’s the kind of place where a 9.3 rating doesn’t feel inflated – they’ve clearly figured out how to make hospitality feel effortless, which actually takes a ton of effort behind the scenes.
