Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to Feel Athens Studios at Monastiraki – you know how sometimes these smaller places can be hit or miss. But the moment I stepped inside, I realized this was going to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The lobby has this clean, minimalist vibe that somehow feels both modern and authentically Greek at the same time, which is harder to pull off than you’d think.

What really won me over was the location – I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Monastiraki, which means you can stumble out the door and be at the flea market in about thirty seconds. The Acropolis views from some of the upper floor studios are absolutely ridiculous (in the best way), and you’re close enough to hear the bustle of Ermou Street without actually being kept awake by it. I actually found myself just sitting by the window in the evening, watching people navigate the narrow streets below with their shopping bags and tourist maps. The staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood too – they pointed me toward this little souvlaki place tucked away on a side street that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being the best meal of my trip.

The studios themselves are surprisingly spacious for Athens standards, with kitchenettes that actually work (you’d be amazed how many places skimp on this). Everything feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together – proper blackout curtains, decent water pressure, and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing. I stayed for four nights and honestly started to feel at home, which is rare for me in hotel situations. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you experience how smoothly everything runs here. Check-in was seamless, housekeeping was unobtrusive but thorough, and when I had a question about getting to Piraeus for a day trip, the front desk person didn’t just hand me a generic map – they actually walked me outside and pointed out exactly which metro entrance to use. It’s those little human touches that separate places like this from the cookie-cutter options. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like a genuine Athens experience rather than just a place to crash between tourist activities, this is definitely worth considering.

  First time in Athens I was impressed with the city. This apartment was at an ideal location to explore the city. Everything we needed (market, cafes, restaurant, historic sites, metro, train to the airport, tour bus stop) walking distance.
  
  The host was excellent. Sent a lot of useful information by WhatsApp and kept checking if we were ok (there wasn’t any issues with our stay)

  I have stayed in many places in Athens (Monastiraki and Plaka), but "Feel Athens" is just the best so far! First of all, the host, Katerina, was super proactive in communicating how to reach and enter the place, and when I had questions she was responding almost real-time in WhatsApp! Great customer service!
  Then the property – the room & bathroom were spacious and clean, the small kitchenette has a microwave, coffee machine and electric water kettle and a refrigerator. There were complimentary wine & water bottles. What I loved the most was the spacious balcony with a swing, from which there was a superb view to the Acropolis.
  Security-wise all doors had electronic codes, which Katerina provided before I checked in.
  Location is great, just a 2-minutes walk from Monastiraki metro station (line 3 goes straight to the airport), and there are many cafes, shops and restaurants around.
  Katerina also let me keep my luggage in the building before my flight, which was in the evening, so I could enjoy Athens during the day without having to carry my big backpack.
  I also met one of the staff ladies, Kremena, who was very nice and helpful as well.
  So thank you Katerina and Kremena for the great stay, this is my new favourite place in Athens thanks to your care! I recommend it for all travellers!

  The location was superb. Less than 5 minutes from Monastiraki station so we were in the apartment less than an hour after we left the airport for only €9!
  The balcony view of the Acropolis was stunning: we expected to have to crane our necks around the corner to see it but you’ve got the BEST view.
  A free bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch and perfect for our first night sat on the balcony admiring that view from the swing seat.
  The apartment was spotless and modern, and we felt very safe with all the codes to get in.
  The communication from Katerina before, during and after our stay was excellent – thank you so much!
  If you wanted to book more than one room, there’s 3 on one floor and would make a great location for multiple couples or a family staying together.
