The walk to the Acropolis entrance takes maybe eight minutes, but here’s the thing nobody tells you – go early morning or late afternoon because that marble gets brutally hot in summer, and your feet will thank you.

What really surprised me was how thoughtfully set up the apartment is. The owner clearly understands what travelers actually need – proper shower pressure (seriously, this matters more than people admit), blackout curtains that actually block the morning sun, and a kitchen stocked with real coffee, not those instant packets you usually get. The Wi-Fi works everywhere, even on the little balcony where I’d sit with my laptop pretending to work while staring at ancient ruins. The building itself is this converted neoclassical house that probably has stories from every decade of the last century, with thick walls that keep things surprisingly quiet even when the street festivals happen. Parking can be tricky around here – actually, scratch that, parking is a nightmare – but honestly, you won’t need a car anyway. The metro station is close enough, and half the joy is wandering these narrow streets where every turn reveals some Byzantine church or hidden taverna that’s been serving the same family recipes since your grandparents were kids. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and the whole area had this perfect energy – busy enough to feel alive, but not so crowded that you’re fighting for space at every monument. The apartment gets this gorgeous golden light in the late afternoon that made me understand why people have been drawn to this hill for thousands of years.

  Great location, close to all the sightseeing and easy to get to it by metro. We were able to walk everywhere, and so many restaurants and shops nearby. The place is wonderful, so clean and very stylish. Very quick communication and the hosts are very friendly, hospitable and helpful. Moreover, easy and smooth check-in. All in all, the perfect place to stay! I totally recommend this apartment.
