Filia Place Overview

You know what struck me first about Filia Place? It’s one of those hotels that actually feels like someone put thought into every corner instead of just throwing together a generic business traveler box. I mean, sure, it’s got that polished 4-star thing going on, but there’s something more personal about it – like the staff actually remembers your name after the first day, and the lobby doesn’t feel like you’re walking through an airport terminal.

The rooms honestly surprised me. I was expecting the usual beige-everything situation, but they’ve got this warm, almost residential vibe that makes you want to actually hang out there instead of just crashing after a long day. The beds are properly comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), plus there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without playing luggage Tetris. What I really appreciated was the attention to lighting – you can actually read without squinting, and there are enough outlets that you’re not crawling behind furniture to charge your phone. The bathrooms are clean and modern without being cold, if that makes sense. Good water pressure too, which honestly can make or break a stay.

Here’s the thing about this place – it sits in that sweet spot between trying too hard and not caring enough. The service feels genuine rather than scripted, and when you need something sorted, they actually sort it instead of giving you the runaround. I noticed they keep the common areas at just the right temperature (you know how some hotels blast the AC until you need a parka indoors?), and there’s usually a good buzz in the evenings without being loud enough to keep you awake. The whole place has this lived-in quality that makes it feel less like a pit stop and more like a temporary home base. With an 8.5 rating, you can tell other travelers have picked up on this too – it’s the kind of spot where the little things actually work the way they’re supposed to.

Hotel in Athens booking should be done early, especially during summer festival season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural and theatrical performances.

Reviews of Filia Place

  • Mergim from Kosovo (9/10)

The best place to stay in Athens!
First of all, the location was in the heart of the city, only 50 meters away from the shops, cafes, restaurants, the square, and the area was quiet during the night.
The room was lovely, cozy, and very clean; it had everything you need (towels, hairdryer, kitchen utilities, TV, and WiFi). The sheets, pillows, and towels were also very clean.
The bathroom was very clean and we always had warm water to shower.
And the best one to not forget was the bed which once you lay down you will have the best sleep ever; fluffy, comfy, and soft.

  • Lueinny from Brazil (9/10)

The apartment is great, super hot and strong water in the bathroom, it has all the necessary utensils to make a quick meal! The location is excellent, despite being in a very graffitied and not very well-lit area, and very safe! The instructions for self check-in were clear and we were able to do everything very easily.
