I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name George’s Apartment, I wasn’t expecting much. It sounded like someone just decided to rent out their spare room, you know? But this place completely caught me off guard in the best possible way. Walking in, it actually feels more like staying at a really stylish friend’s place than a typical hotel, which I guess is exactly the point.

The space has this lived-in warmth that you just can’t fake – I mean, there are books on the shelves that look like they’ve actually been read, and the coffee setup in the kitchen isn’t some sad single-serve machine but proper equipment that George (yeah, he’s a real person and you’ll probably meet him) clearly knows how to use. The whole place smells faintly of good coffee and something I couldn’t quite place… maybe cedar? The furniture feels substantial – not that flimsy hotel stuff that wobbles when you look at it wrong. You’ll find yourself actually wanting to hang out in the common areas instead of hiding in your room, which honestly doesn’t happen often when I travel.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to details that matter. The shower pressure is fantastic (trust me on this one), and someone clearly thought about lighting because you’re not stuck trying to read under some dim bedside lamp. George seems to anticipate the stuff you didn’t even know you needed – there are phone chargers in convenient spots, the WiFi actually works throughout the building, and I found adapters in the desk drawer without having to ask. The neighborhood’s pretty quiet at night, but you’re still close enough to things that you won’t feel stranded. Parking can be a bit tricky during busy periods – I’d recommend asking George about the best spots when you check in because he knows all the local secrets. The whole experience feels personal in a way that makes you want to come back, and with a 9.9 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks so. It’s one of those places that makes you reconsider what hospitality can be when someone actually cares about getting it right.

  George is the best host, he made us feel home in his amazing, fully equipped apartment. The place is even better than it seems on the pictures, and the huge terrace overlooking the city is the highlight of the apartment. If you have a chance to book this place for your visit in Athens, you are a lucky person!

  Double side balcony, panorama view, kind landlord, clean, airy apartment, close to airport bus stop and tram station. Very good for the price, highly recommended for your stay.
  
  What could be improved: I can mention only that is too much noise from the highway, but it's is ok because the whole city is noisy, busy everywhere.

  The pictures don't fully capture the true essence of the apartment. When you enter, you immediately notice the fresh, clean scent and feel the positive energy. We truly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment is located in a beautiful area, with public transportation to the city and the beach really close. It has everything you need for a long or short stay. For those who enjoy running and sports, this location is unbeatable. We plan to return to Athens next year, and this apartment will definitely be our first choice, as it adds to the perfect feeling of being in this wonderful city.

  The apartment is ideally located , with beautiful views over Niarchos Park. Easy access to public transport, well equipped and very clean. Quiet and cosy. George is a wonderful host.
