What struck me first was how these apartments actually feel like apartments – not those cramped hotel rooms masquerading as suites that you see everywhere. I mean, there’s real counter space in the kitchenette, and the living area doesn’t make you feel like you’re sitting on your bed to watch TV. The Verde folks clearly put thought into the layout, and it shows in those little details that matter when you’re staying more than a night or two. The decor walks this nice line between modern and comfortable – clean lines without feeling sterile, you know? I particularly loved how much natural light floods in during the morning hours, though fair warning, if you’re a late sleeper, you might want to figure out those curtains quickly.

The location is one of those spots where you feel like you’re actually living somewhere rather than just visiting. You’ll find yourself walking past the same local coffee shop each morning (and honestly, their freddo espresso became my daily ritual), and there’s this little family-run taverna just around the corner that doesn’t look like much from the outside but serves some of the best moussaka I’ve had outside of someone’s grandmother’s kitchen. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings – you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually get a decent night’s sleep.
