KASO Igglesi – Acropolis view overview
You know what really gets me about KASO Igglesi – Acropolis view? It’s one of those places that actually delivers on its name – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think in Athens. I mean, half the hotels in this city claim some kind of Acropolis view, but you end up squinting through power lines or craning your neck around a neighboring apartment building. Not here though.
The first time I walked into my room, I actually did that embarrassing thing where you just stop and go “oh wow” out loud. The Parthenon is right there, like you could almost reach out and touch it, especially when the evening light hits those ancient columns. It’s particularly stunning around sunset – I found myself just sitting by the window with a coffee (the little Nespresso machine works perfectly, by the way) watching the light change. The rooms themselves feel properly boutique without being pretentious about it. Everything’s clean and modern, but they haven’t stripped away all the character. The beds are seriously comfortable – I’m talking sink-in-and-forget-the-world comfortable, which matters when you’ve been walking around cobblestones all day.
What I really appreciate is how they’ve nailed the location without putting you right in the tourist chaos. You’re close enough to walk to all the major sites – the Acropolis Museum is maybe a ten-minute stroll, and Plaka’s bustling tavernas are even closer – but the street itself stays relatively quiet. I could actually sleep with the windows open, which is saying something in Athens. The staff genuinely knows their stuff too, not just the scripted recommendations. When I asked about avoiding the crowds at the Acropolis, the front desk guy gave me this specific timing advice (go right at 8 AM or after 6 PM) that totally worked. Check-in was smooth, though I’d say book directly if you can – they seem to save the better view rooms for direct bookings, or at least that’s been my experience. The neighborhood has this nice mix of locals and visitors, so you’ll find proper Greek coffee shops alongside the more touristy spots. There’s actually this little bakery around the corner that does incredible spanakopita – the kind of place you’d never find without wandering or getting a tip from someone who knows. That 9.2 rating isn’t just because of the views, though they certainly don’t hurt. It’s because this place gets the details right while keeping things relaxed and unpretentious.

- Comfortable beds, not too hard, not too soft. There are extra pillows and covers if needed. There is also AC in every bedroom. - Kitchen with various appliances - capsule coffee machine, kettle, sandwich toaster, microwave, and oven. - Washing machine with detergent provided, smells nice and cleans well. There's also a clothes rack and a cord on the balcony to dry. - You can either enter the home via an app provided or with spare keys as a failsafe. - The host was very attentive and available all the time through the channels provided and even gave us options to stay later on the property (late flights). - The location is good, a bit away from the tourist-heavy locations but easy enough to navigate on foot. - Amazing Gyros and Souvlaki place very near - we ate there at least three times. - Bonus: Tap water is safe to drink! And yes, you can see the Acropolis from the balcony if you lean a bit, just don't lean over too much :) Could be improved: - This is not the place's problem, but the neighborhood gets a bit noisy because there is a public garage just in front and a grocery delivery spot where a lot of bikes stop. So if you have light sleep, consider that and pack some tampons or a white noise machine.

An excellent apartment for a stay in Athens with family or friends, located in a neighborhood with nice restaurants, coffee shops, markets, close to downtown; easy to park near the building. Excellent communication with the host and easy check-in.
