I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Lovely Maisonette, I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. But you know what? Sometimes the places with the most understated names end up being the biggest surprises, and this four-star gem absolutely delivered on that front.

What struck me immediately was how the place manages to feel both polished and genuinely welcoming at the same time. The staff actually remembered my name after the first day (and I mean really remembered it, not just that thing where they glance at their computer screen). The rooms have this perfect balance – they’re spacious enough that you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, but cozy enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in some sterile corporate box. The beds are honestly some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered in years of hotel hopping, and the linens have that crisp-but-soft quality that you only get when a place really cares about the details. I actually found myself looking forward to getting back to the room each evening, which says something because I’m usually the type who treats hotel rooms as just a place to crash.

The thing that really sets this place apart though – and this might sound small but trust me, it matters – is how quiet it stays even when it’s fully booked. You know how some hotels have those paper-thin walls where you hear every conversation and suitcase wheel rolling down the hallway at 6 AM? Not here. I’m a pretty light sleeper, and I slept like a rock every single night. The breakfast situation is actually worth getting up for too (and I’m definitely not a morning person), with fresh pastries that taste like they were made that morning, not three days ago. The coffee’s strong enough to wake the dead, which is exactly what I needed. The whole vibe is just… effortless, I guess? Like they’ve figured out how to make everything work smoothly without making a big show of it. With a 9.9 rating, I was expecting something special, but this place exceeded even those high expectations – it’s one of those rare finds where you immediately start planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

  L'appartement est très bien situé par rapport aux monuments tel que le Parthénon et l'acropole. Nous avons également apprécié sa propreté et sa décoration, le fait d' avoir la climatisation dans tout l'appartement est également appréciable, de plus la propriétaire est adorable, de bons conseils et toujours prête à nous aider. Je recommande à 100%.

  This is a lovely apartment in a quiet neighborhood, but still very close to the main sights and attractions. Nice restaurants and cafes a short walking distance.
  This place is perfectly suited for families. Nice rooftop view of the surroundings. We found it very clean, good appliances, air conditioning and nice kitchen.
  We had our rental car still with us and the attached parking was very convenient. We found exploring Athens by car during mid August very simple with free or low cost parking easy to find.
  Easy check and in and great communication with the host.

  Perfekte Lage am Fuße des Philopapposhügel in ruhiger Wohngegend, nahe gelegen zu Einkaufs- und Versorgungsmöglichkeiten, Lokale/Restaurants etc. in 5 Minuten Gehdistanz vorhanden. Über den entzückenden Philopapposhügel gelangt man nach einem ca. 20 minütigen sehr empfehlenswerten Spaziergang mitten ins Zentrum nahe der Akropolis. Das Appartment ist ansprechend und vollständig ausgestattet. Die Klimaanlage war in jedem Raum individuell einstellbar, auch elektrische Rollläden zur Beschattung funktionierten einwandfrei, Lift vorhanden. Wohnraum, Küche und 1 WC befinden sich in der oberen Etage, in der unteren sind die 3 Schlafzimmer sowie 2 Badezimmer je inkl. WC zu finden. Und das Wichtigste: es war alles sehr sauber! Wir haben die Vermieterin Sia zwar nicht persönlich kennengelernt, der Support zum Check-in, Infos zur Umgebung sowie das Angebot, für den Fall der Fälle mit Rat und Tat zur Seite zu stehen, haben via WhatsApp perfekt geklappt.

  The apartment is very spacious and conveniently located close to Athens main attractions. You have a nice view on the port and the sea in the distance. Neighborhood is quiet. Sia, the owner is very generous of her time and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.
  
  What could be improved: Even if the apartment was extremely clean, there was a slight smell of cigarette inside the apartment. Nothing too bad but I prefer to mention it for people that are allergic or have asthma because the place is advertised as non-smoking.
