I mean, when I first found this spot – honestly, it was sort of by accident because I took a wrong turn off Adrianou Street – I couldn’t believe how quiet it felt despite being right in the thick of everything.

The apartment itself is actually what luxury should feel like in Athens, if that makes sense. Not the marble-and-gold kind of luxury you see in those sterile chain hotels, but something that feels authentically Greek yet completely comfortable for modern travelers. The space has this incredible view situation going on (hence the Acropolis part of the name), and I’m talking about waking up to see the Parthenon literally glowing in the morning light. But here’s what really got me – the little details that someone clearly thought through. The kitchen actually works, like properly works, with good knives and decent coffee equipment, which is rare in vacation rentals. The bathroom has this gorgeous rainfall shower, and the water pressure – well, let’s just say it’s better than my apartment back home.

What I love most about staying here is how it puts you right in the rhythm of actual Athenian life. You’re close enough to hear the morning conversations from the kafeneio downstairs (in a good way, not an annoying way), and you can walk to that little bakery on Kydathinaion Street for fresh spanakopita before the tour groups even wake up. The location is honestly perfect for exploring on foot – you can zigzag through those narrow stone streets to reach the Ancient Agora in about ten minutes, or head the other direction toward Syntagma when you need proper shopping or metro connections. Parking is basically impossible around here, but that’s true for all of Plaka, and honestly you don’t need a car anyway. The 9.3 rating doesn’t surprise me at all – this is the kind of place that makes people want to write those glowing reviews because everything just works the way it should. It’s not trying too hard to impress you, but somehow that makes it even more impressive, you know?

  Fantastic apartment off the main streets in Plaka so not as noisy as some areas. Close to Acropolis, easy walks to main attractions, good food close by and a small supermarket not far either, and great coffee shop downstairs to get something to start your day! The host was very thoughtful and made sure I had all I needed. Lovely place to stay for the price!

  This location is outstanding. Within 30 secs walk to everything & yet in a quiet very pretty street with apartment on the first floor overlooking a semi quiet square
  Be aware that square can be noisy at times & the noise travels upwards. This is not a criticism but an observation for others

  Excellent apartment at the southern end of Plaka very near the Acropolis. It overlooks a charming little square with trees and seats and a great coffee shop – latte and croissant every morning to start the day. It's all semi-pedestrianised (delivery vans are allowed). Of course it's very touristy but, seriously, you couldn't wish for a better location.

  Very nice apartment, we were not missing anything. The location is very good, in the old town of Plaka and it´s really quiet. The communication with the owner was also very good. When we come back to Athens, we would definitly stay here again. Thank you very much!
