Marthas Loft Lycabettus Athens Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of boutique hotels in Athens, but Marthas Loft Lycabettus Athens genuinely surprised me in the best way possible. You know that feeling when you walk into a place and immediately think “okay, someone actually put thought into this”? That’s exactly what happened here. The loft-style design doesn’t feel forced or Instagram-bait-y – it’s actually functional and comfortable, with these gorgeous high ceilings that make the rooms feel way more spacious than you’d expect in Athens.
What really got me was the location situation. I mean, Lycabettus Hill is right there, and honestly, most tourists don’t realize how perfect this positioning is. You’re close enough to hike up for sunset (do this, seriously), but you’re not dealing with the chaos of Plaka or Monastiraki. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – you’ll see locals grabbing coffee at the corner spots, not just tour groups. I actually found some of my favorite meals just wandering around the nearby streets. The metro connections are solid too, which matters when you’re trying to hit the major sites without spending half your budget on taxis.
Here’s what I really appreciated – the staff actually knows their stuff. When I asked about avoiding crowds at the Acropolis, they didn’t just hand me a generic pamphlet. They told me exactly which entrance to use and what time to show up (early, always early). The rooms themselves strike this nice balance between modern amenities and Greek character. The beds are properly comfortable – not just pretty to look at – and the bathrooms have decent water pressure, which you can’t always count on in boutique places. I stayed during a pretty busy period in late spring, and while the area gets lively in the evenings, it wasn’t the kind of street noise that keeps you up. There’s something about the way sound travels in this part of Athens that’s just… different from the tourist zones. You get the energy without the constant honking and shouting. With a 9.5 rating, you might expect it to be one of those places that’s all hype, but honestly? It delivers. The little touches matter here – decent Wi-Fi that actually works, thoughtful lighting, and they’ve managed to create that boutique hotel vibe without making you feel like you’re staying in a museum. If you’re the type who wants to experience Athens like you live there for a few days rather than just checking boxes off a list, this place gets it right.
To book a hotel in Athens during major archaeological events, travelers need early planning as this cradle of democracy draws visitors eager to experience its iconic Acropolis and vibrant Mediterranean culture.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional apartment, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, Alex went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction.
Alex patiently waited for me at almost midnight, helping me with my luggage and welcoming me with a thoughtful array of drinks, juices, and snacks. This kind gesture was especially appreciated since all restaurants and groceries were closed, and I was worried about going to bed thirsty and hungry.
The apartment itself was impressive, with a spacious bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. The air conditioning in both the living area and bedroom was a lifesaver, especially during the scorching summer heat.
What truly sets this apartment apart is Alex's exceptional attention to detail. He even provided cotton pads for makeup removal and sanitary pads, demonstrating a level of thoughtfulness I've never experienced in any other accommodation, despite my extensive travels.
Although I struggled with the door's lock, Alex promptly responded with helpful guidance, showcasing his dedication to ensuring a smooth stay.
My five-night stay was outstanding, and I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to anyone seeking a comfortable, well-appointed, and welcoming space. Alex's exceptional hospitality makes you feel like family, and his attention to detail is unparalleled. Don't hesitate to book – you won't regret it!

Absolutely loved our stay at Martha's Loft Lycabettus in Athens! This entire apartment was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, embracing the key perception of the ancient Greeks
—simplicity. The minimalist yet elegant decor created a serene and relaxing atmosphere, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.
What could be improved: The location is unbeatable, nestled in the heart of Athens and just a stone's throw away from the iconic Likavito. It truly provides the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of. The amenities were top-notch, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches that made our stay so enjoyable.Nitous from France – 2 July 2024 (10/10)
