I wasn’t expecting a 4-star hotel to feel this polished – honestly, the whole place has this fresh, almost boutique-y vibe that makes you forget you’re not paying luxury prices. The “NEW” part of the name isn’t just marketing fluff either; everything from the lobby’s sleek marble floors to the way they’ve designed the common areas feels thoughtfully modern without being cold or sterile.

What really impressed me (and I mean this – I’m usually pretty critical about hotels) is how they’ve managed to capture that distinctly Athenian character while keeping things contemporary. The staff actually seems to know the neighborhood inside and out, which is rarer than you’d think. When I asked about getting to Plaka without dealing with tourist crowds, the front desk guy gave me this route through side streets that I never would’ve found on my own. The rooms themselves are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into furniture – always a good sign – and the beds are genuinely comfortable, not just “fine for a few nights.” I appreciated the little touches too, like having enough outlets near the bed and blackout curtains that actually work.

The location is really well-positioned for exploring Athens on foot, though you’ll want comfortable shoes since there’s plenty of walking involved if you’re hitting the major sites. Mornings are surprisingly quiet here – I mean, you’re still in a city, but it’s not like you’re dealing with constant traffic noise or street vendors at dawn. The breakfast situation is solid (nothing groundbreaking, but fresh and varied enough), and honestly, at a 9.4 rating, you can tell other guests are having similarly positive experiences. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re the type who values having a really comfortable base to return to after long days of sightseeing – which, let’s be real, is exactly what Athens demands of you.

Hotel in Athens booking should be done early, especially during summer festival season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural and theatrical performances.

  Great location, very easy to walk to all the tourist attractions, restaurants, shops etc..
  Very spacious 4 double bedroomed apartment with 2 bathrooms and also a separate extra toilet – perfect for a group of friends celebrating a 60th birthday!
  The apartment was very clean and well equipped. Smart tvs in the lounge as well as bedrooms. Very good WiFi.
  Calypso met us to let us in and show us around. She was also on hand via WhatsApp for any queries we had throughout our stay.
  Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Athens.
