There’s proper coffee equipment (not just instant packets), the WiFi actually works throughout the apartment, and the shower has decent water pressure, which anyone who’s traveled in older European buildings will appreciate. The location is just ridiculous in terms of convenience, but not in that touristy way where you’re surrounded by souvenir shops and overpriced tavernas. You’re tucked into the residential part of the old town, so you get a real sense of neighborhood life. I’d walk out in the morning and see locals heading to work, kids going to school – it felt authentic, you know? Plus, you’re close enough to the good stuff on Adrianou Street and the Plaka squares, but far enough that you can escape the crowds when you need to. The walk to the Acropolis entrance takes maybe three minutes if you’re moving slowly, and there’s this little bakery around the corner that locals actually go to – not just tourists. I ended up stopping there every morning because, well, when you find good tiropita at 7 AM, you don’t mess with success.
