The building itself is quiet, which surprised me because Athens can be… well, let’s just say Greek traffic doesn’t sleep. Sometimes you’ll hear the distant hum of the city, but it’s more ambient than annoying. Check-in was straightforward – no fancy lobby or anything, but the host was responsive and actually gave useful recommendations (not just the obvious tourist traps). I’d say the only minor downside is parking if you’re renting a car, but honestly, in this part of Athens you’re better off walking anyway. The whole area comes alive differently at different times – early morning when you have the ancient sites almost to yourself, late afternoon when the golden light hits those marble columns just right, and evenings when the locals emerge for their evening stroll. It’s got that 8.9 rating for good reason, and after staying in plenty of Athens apartments that promise views but deliver construction sites or air conditioning units, this one actually delivers what it advertises.

  We stayed here with our two young teenagers and it was very spacious, comfortable and clean. We loved the Plaka area and this location was perfect for going out to dinner nearby with many lovely restaurants and cafes right nearby. There is a mini supermarket next door to the apartment block so very convenient for supplies and drinks. Our kids loved strolling all the little shops and it was the perfect base for exploring everything – everything is in walking distance. We loved walking around, so much to see, the vibe is great! So much delicious food! The little kitchen has everything you might need but we only used it for breakfast as there is so much good food around. The bathroom is small but clean and works well and has a washing machine which was handy – you need to bring your own detergent. There is a small balcony which we enjoyed sitting on in the mornings and afternoons. Aircon in both bedrooms and it worked well. For the most part it was reasonably quiet but on occasion like Friday night there was some street noise – it’s what you expect being so central.
