You know what caught me off guard about Muses Residence? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you – and that’s exactly why it works so well. I mean, with a 9.0 rating, I was expecting something flashy, but honestly, the charm here is way more subtle than that. The building itself has this understated elegance that grows on you, like when you notice the little architectural details in the facade or the way the lobby lighting hits just right in the early evening.

The rooms are what really sold me though. They’ve got this lived-in sophistication – not sterile like some four-star places can be, but actually comfortable. The beds are proper firm (thank god), and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re rattling around in an oversized suite. What I loved most was the attention to the small stuff – good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and outlets positioned where you’d actually want to plug things in. The staff has this refreshing approach too – they’re genuinely helpful without that overly rehearsed hospitality thing that can feel so fake. Check-in was smooth, and when I had questions about the area, they gave me real recommendations, not just the touristy spots everyone suggests.

I’ll be honest, the neighborhood took me a minute to figure out, but that ended up being part of what I liked about staying there. It’s got this authentic local feel – you’re not surrounded by other hotels and souvenir shops, which means you get to see how people actually live in the area. Mornings were particularly nice because it’s quiet enough to actually sleep in if you want, but there’s still plenty of life happening just outside. The whole experience felt refreshingly real, if that makes sense. For a four-star place, Muses Residence delivers exactly what you’d hope for – solid comfort, genuine service, and that feeling like you’ve discovered something good rather than just booked the obvious choice. It’s the kind of place where you’d actually want to extend your stay a day or two, which honestly doesn’t happen to me very often.

  15 minute walk to the center, nice neighbourhood. The property is just behind the hill of Acropolis and you can enter it 2 minutes from the property, we took a nice walk over the hill and got to see all of it (bring sneakers 😁).
  Everything was really clean and tidy, equipped with kitchen suppliances, there was even a coffee machine (bring your capsules).
  All in all great worth for money, spacious and clean, short walk to the center.

  Our contact was Marina who was WONDERFUL. She arranged all our cab transfers and was friendly and efficient in answering any questions we had.
  
  The apartment was a 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom (Polyhymnia) and was spotlessly clean and quiet. There were enough cleaning and bathroom supplies provided as well as bed linen and towels. We had everything we needed for our stay. I especially loved the beautiful old creaky wooden floors!
  
  The location was fab for us. Koukaki neighbourhood is about 20/25 mins walk from the Acropolis museum and the two main streets to get there (Veikou and Dimitrakopoulou) are lined with artisan shops, boutiques, bars, cafes and delis where you can pick up some wonderful unique gifts and grab good food from Thai to tacos. There was a mini market 5 minutes walk away and restaurants 7-10 minutes walk.
  
  We were struck by the friendliness of the Athenians and how clean everywhere is. We visited in the last week of October and every day was a sunny 20 degrees.
  
  We had a blast, and Muses Residence really helped to make our stay enjoyable.

  I love Muses residence in Athens. Comfortable, clean, with a good vibe. Quiet neighbourhood, slept really well. Location is perfect. Among the kitchen facilities is my favourite coffee machine:) Find a really good bakery nearby, with amazing Bougatsa. It was a perfect stay for me and my friend. Would love to visit again.

  The location of the property is excellent. It is a safe and quite neighborhood. There are lots of nice cafes and good restaurants nearby. Supermarket is just 2 mins walk away from the building. It is so nice to walk around the neighborhood both in the day and night.
  
  We stayed on the second floor. The front balcony has a nice view of the street and buildings nearby. The back balcony view was not that much pleasant since it looks at the buildings which are very close to the apartment and one of them is abandoned. But we don’t mind it anyways.
  
  They provided paper towels, two mini bottles of olive oils, couple of teas, sugar, salt and black pepper in small disposable bags (for one use) in addition to the kitchenware.
  
  Beds were comfortable. Sheets and beds were clean.
  
  The staff was so helpful and friendly. Marina, the host of the residence, was nice and helpful. She turned back all of my messages promptly.
