When I first stepped into the Penthouse with Private Rooftop and Hot Tub, I honestly wasn’t prepared for how spacious it would feel – you know those moments when a place just breathes differently than what you expected? This 4-star spot sits up high enough that you actually forget you’re in the middle of everything, which is sort of magical when you think about it.

The rooftop situation is where this place really shines, and I mean that literally. I spent way too many evenings up there with a glass of wine, watching the city lights flicker on while soaking in that hot tub. The water temperature stays perfect (they must check it regularly), and there’s something about being outdoors in hot water under open sky that just hits different. Fair warning though – you’ll probably end up staying out there longer than planned, so maybe bring a robe because the night air can surprise you when you finally climb out. The rooftop setup isn’t huge, but it’s thoughtfully arranged with enough seating that you won’t feel cramped even if you’re there with friends.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets up there, even though you’re not exactly in the middle of nowhere. During the day you can hear the city humming below, but it’s more like background music than noise – actually quite soothing. The penthouse itself feels lived-in rather than sterile (in a good way), with those little touches that suggest someone actually cares about the space rather than just checking boxes. The kitchen is properly stocked if you want to grab groceries and cook something, which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out every meal gets expensive fast. Check-in was smooth – no waiting around or complicated key situations that make you feel like you’re solving puzzles just to get into your room.

I’ll be honest, the 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything works exactly like it should, and that rooftop experience is genuinely special. The hot tub gets surprisingly good use even when it’s cooler outside – actually, some of my favorite moments were during those crisp evenings when the contrast between the warm water and cool air made everything feel more intense. If you’re someone who values having your own private outdoor space without dealing with crowds or time restrictions, this place delivers on that promise completely.

Hotel in Athens booking should be done early, especially during summer festival season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural and theatrical performances.

  J’ai adoré le penthouse la décoration est moderne design et super jolie
  
  La terasse est incroyable avec une vue magnifique et le quartier est vraiment atypique avec beaucoup de street art, en tant que jeune artiste moi même j’ai adoré l’originalité du quartier mais je peux comprendre que ça ne plaise pas à tous le monde car il y’a beaucoup de graffiti.
  
  Pour les lumières il faut rester appuyer longtemps pour augmenter la luminosité, je ne m’en étais pas rendu compte au début et la salle de bain été sombre
  
  What could be improved: Pour moi, ce qui manque vraiment à l’appartement c’est un miroir dans la chambre pour ce voir en entier.
  
  Car j’avais besoin de me maquiller et coiffer et dans la salle de bain c’est pas très pratique, si un miroir est ajouté dans le logement ça ferait vraiment plaisir

  The host was very helpful and communicated with us before and throughout our stay. The apartment itself is very nice and modern and is very well designed. Even the dishes in the apartment were nice and high quality. The roof top deck was my favorite part and I enjoyed coffee up on the roof before exploring Athens.
  
  What could be improved: We were shocked by the neighborhood that this apartment is located in (Exarchia). My boyfriend and I did not feel comfortable walking around in the neighborhood at all in the day or night, even just to go find a cup of coffee in the morning. Talking to Athens natives they were very concerned that we were staying in Exarchia. The photos of this apartment would not have suggested that it was located in this neighborhood.

  Everything was wonderful!! The penthouse has a beautiful rooftop setting! All was well though off. Comfortable bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Even had coffee, water and wine for us!! Sparkling clean! Alex, the host, answerred all our questions and inquiries on the spot, made area suggestions in detail for food and visits! The area is full of coffee places and restaurants, the vibrant Exarchia area! What a treat! Highly suggested!

  The penthouse is in a fantastic location surrounded by great cafes and easy to walk to historic sites. The 360 degree view from the private rooftop patio captures the entire city, including the Acropolis. The bed and furnishings were very comfortable and beautifully done. The property is extremely clean and the host was very helpful and responsive!
