This four-star apartment sits on the top floor of a building in one of Athens‘ most charming neighborhoods, and you know what? The Acropolis views from up here are absolutely stunning. Plus, there’s parking included (and trust me, free parking in Athens is like finding a unicorn), so if you’re planning day trips to the islands or around Attica, you’re all set.

The Space Itself

The room — well, it’s actually a full apartment — feels surprisingly spacious for central Athens. The kitchen is properly equipped, not just some token mini-fridge situation, so you can actually prepare meals if you want to save money or just enjoy some local ingredients from the nearby markets. What really got me though was how the afternoon light streams through those big windows, especially when it hits the Acropolis in the distance. The furnishings are modern but comfortable, and everything feels clean and well-maintained.

Location Magic

Here’s the thing about staying in Koukaki — you’re walking distance from pretty much everything that matters. The Acropolis entrance is maybe a 15-minute stroll uphill (and honestly, it’s a pleasant walk through residential streets), while the Acropolis Museum is even closer. But what I really appreciated was being near the Syngrou-Fix metro station, which connects you to Syntagma Square and the airport without any hassles. The neighborhood also has this great mix of traditional bakeries and trendy spots — you can grab a proper Greek breakfast or find that specialty coffee you’re craving.

With a 9.5 rating, this place clearly hits the mark for most visitors, and I can see why couples especially love it here (they rated the location 9.4, which makes total sense). There’s something romantic about having the Acropolis as your backdrop, plus the area feels safe and walkable at all hours. The top-floor position means you’re above the street noise but still connected to the neighborhood’s energy. It’s that rare find where you get the authentic Athens experience without sacrificing comfort or convenience — and honestly, at this price point with these views, it feels like you’re getting away with something.

  Second time I stayed there. It feels safe, it’s quite spacious, comfy bed!!! I like the location, residential. Lots of restaurants, supermarkets, Cafes, walkable. 15 minutes to Acropolis! Large terrasse with nice view of Acropolis and monument. Aphrodite tries her best to make sure I am comfortable! The place is very clean also! She leaves some basic foods in fridge, which is nice. Including eggs, wine, Marmelade etc.

  There is everything you need to prepare yourself a nice breakfast, except fresh bread which you have to bring. There is a spacious roof deck where you can eat and chill.

  Amazing location 10-20mins walk from the main sites. Small but perfect for a couple or solo travellers. Surprisingly quiet considering where it is the soundproofing really works. The host Aphrodite was really nice.

  Nice small apartment for solo travellers or couples, AC works great and keeps it nice and cool in the Athens summers. Clean as well.
