You know what struck me first about Sea View Beach Penthouse – Athens Coast? The name actually undersells it – this place sits right on the coastline where you can literally hear the waves from your balcony, and honestly, I’ve stayed at plenty of “sea view” places that require binoculars to spot water. Not here. The Mediterranean stretches out endlessly, and on clear mornings (which is most of them along this stretch), you can see the islands dotting the horizon like scattered puzzle pieces.

The penthouse setup is pretty clever – they’ve managed to create this airy, almost villa-like feeling despite being in what’s essentially a modern apartment building. I mean, you’re getting all the space and privacy of a house but with the security and maintenance-free vibe of a hotel stay. The terrace alone is worth the booking – it’s massive, with enough room for proper lounging and that outdoor dining setup that makes you want to grab fresh seafood from the local market and pretend you’re a temporary local. Speaking of which, there’s this little fish taverna about a ten-minute walk down the coastal path that the front desk guy mentioned – family-run place that doesn’t look like much but serves the kind of grilled octopus that’ll ruin you for anywhere else.

What really sells this place though is how it manages to feel both secluded and accessible. You’re tucked away enough that the beach area never feels crowded (even during peak summer months when Athens gets absolutely packed), but you’re not stranded. The bus connection into central Athens runs regularly, and parking is actually reasonable if you’re driving – which around here is saying something. I stayed during late September when the weather was still gorgeous but the summer crowds had thinned out, and it felt like having your own private slice of the Aegean. The 4-star rating seems about right – it’s polished and comfortable without being stuffy, and that 9.2 guest rating makes total sense once you spend a morning with coffee on that terrace watching the fishing boats head out. Just don’t expect to get much done work-wise if you’re trying to blend business with pleasure – the view is way too distracting.

  The apartment was located close to the beach and nearby supermarket and restaurants. The apartment was very spacious, clean and well stocked with equipment and some added bit such as tea and coffee, cooking oil etc.

  The beaches and marina in Alimos are within walking distance and with great facilities. The space of the balcony is exceptional for sunbathing and Alfresco dinning.

  The apartment is really nice with huge terrace. Right under and across street is little bakery (good for morning coffee and some snacks), near are also groceries and some restaurants. To the old town it is with taxi approx 20min.
