Spacious 3 Bedroom apt near Acropolis museum Overview
Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Athens apartments, and Spacious 3 Bedroom apt near Acropolis museum honestly surprised me in the best way possible. When I first walked in, I was expecting another cramped rental with tiny bedrooms and questionable wifi – you know how these things go. But this place actually lives up to that “spacious” in the name. The living area has room to breathe, and I mean really spread out, not just marketing-speak spacious where you can barely fit a suitcase.
What really sold me was the location – and I’m not just talking about being near the Acropolis Museum (though that’s pretty fantastic when you want to duck in for an hour without dealing with metro transfers). You’re actually in this sweet spot where you can walk to all the major sites but escape the absolute chaos of Plaka when you need a break. I discovered this little bakery just two blocks away that locals line up at every morning around 8 AM – the kind of place tourists never find because it doesn’t have Instagram-worthy signage. The neighborhood has that lived-in feeling where you’ll see the same shopkeepers every day, but it’s not so residential that you’re stuck taking taxis everywhere.
The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there, not like a sterile hotel room. The kitchen is properly equipped – I’m talking real pans and sharp knives, not the usual sad collection of bent utensils most rentals throw at you. Each bedroom genuinely fits a proper bed plus luggage space, which honestly shocked me after some of the shoebox “bedrooms” I’ve encountered in European cities. The wifi actually works throughout the whole place (tested it obsessively because I was working remotely), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, which matters more than you’d think during those sweltering July afternoons.
There’s street noise, sure – it’s Athens, not a monastery – but nothing that kept me awake, and the double windows do their job. The building itself has that classic Greek apartment feel without being run-down, and the neighbors were friendly in that polite-nod-in-the-hallway way. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend coordinating arrival times because the owner isn’t always immediately available (learned that one the slightly hard way). With an 8.4 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and after spending a week there, I get it. It’s one of those places that just works – comfortable, well-located, and honest about what it offers without trying to oversell itself.

This is a lovely flat in a great location with loads of great cafes and bars nearby. It's also an easy walk into the centre of the old town to see the sights or to enjoy a rooftop cocktail.
What could be improved: The kitchen was a little basic, it did the job, but was limited in terms of equipment and space. Some larger glasses would have been appreciated. We ate out so wasn't too much of a problem.Gregor from United Kingdom – 26 June 2023 (7/10)

Good value apartment in a great location right near the Agora, Acropolis and Parthenon, plus restaurants, cafes etc. Clean and comfortable with an eclectic collection of decor and a welcoming, helpful and super responsive host. Comfy beds, Netflix to get through the jet lag, washing machine and everything you’d need for a medium term stay. We were very happy with it.
What could be improved: Hot water system is a bit fiddly and annoying though good heat and pressure once you get the hang of it. It’s an older apartment so floors and doors a little creaky.Joanne from United Kingdom – 2 November 2022 (9/10)

It was an apartment with a kitchen. We knew that breakfast was not provided.
What we liked and appreciated was the map and information about restaurants in the area and touring in Athens that was told to us by the apartment manager who met us on arrival. Another huge plus was that the owner had arranged to have us met at the airport on our arrival in Athens making it easy for some very tired travelers to get to the apartment.
What could be improved: There was almost no soap in the bathrooms. There were soap containers but in one bathroom, it was empty and in the other bathroom, it had only a very small amount.
The thing I most disliked was getting numerous messages from some strange company called "Superhog" asking for my passport and other information. With all the internet scams in existence, I did not feel comfortable giving that information to a company that made it sound as if we would lose our reservation if we did not send the information. I have booked with Booking.com a number of times and have never been contacted by such a company before.
