You’re close enough to walk to all the major sites – I mean, the Acropolis is right there, obviously – but you’re also in this neighborhood where actual Athenians go about their daily lives. There’s this fantastic little bakery about two blocks down (can’t remember the exact street name, but you’ll smell it) where locals line up for their morning coffee, and honestly, their spinach pies are better than anything you’ll find in Plaka. The area gets surprisingly quiet in the evenings too, which I wasn’t expecting given how central you are. Sure, you’ll hear the occasional motorbike – it’s Athens, after all – but nothing that’ll keep you up at night.

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve managed to keep that loft aesthetic without sacrificing comfort. The bed is actually good (I’m picky about mattresses), there’s proper storage space for your stuff, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the local market. The bathroom’s modern and well-designed, though I should mention the water pressure can be a bit temperamental – but that’s pretty standard for older buildings in this part of the city. The host was genuinely helpful with recommendations too, not just the usual tourist spots but places where you can get a proper meal without paying tourist prices. I ended up extending my stay by two days because, well, why leave when you’ve found something this good? It’s got that 8.6 rating for a reason – it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special, even though plenty of smart travelers have clearly figured it out before you.

  Beautiful, eclectic, LARGE, clean apartment. Very safe and lively neighborhood. Don't let the graffiti fool you. Washer was a plus! Amazing views! Soft beds, 2 Air conditioners.

  The apartment was on the 6th floor with a lift. It had a few jitters bacause of age … like Johann does.
  
  The space was huge. We had a very good view to the Acropolis.
  
  The surrounding area was good too. Many restaurant within a few meters … really close.

  There were also some nice art and books in the apartment. As we discovered the host is an artist and sculpture.

  The place is lovely, position is great. Psiri neighborhood is the best for people who want to stay in a nice lively area. This can cause some little noise of music during night but it was never too much, i slept very well.
  The huge space and the view of acropolis make this place very enjoyable.

  Great location! The flat is right in the center of Athens, with a main square being 2 corners away, we got to see everything we wanted with my kids (8 & 5). It had great access to public transport, shops, restaurants and entertainment. In the evenings my children could play and rest comfortably in the spacious apartment while I cooked dinner. So much better than a hotel room to squeeze into… Thank you for a lovely stay!
