The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need (decent WiFi, proper air conditioning, and – thank god – blackout curtains because those Athens summer mornings hit hard). The space has that lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying in a local’s home rather than some sterile rental. You know what I loved? The little details that show someone actually cares about this place – proper coffee cups instead of those flimsy tourist ones, extra blankets tucked in the closet, and a shower with actual water pressure.

The neighborhood itself is where this place really shines. You can stumble out the door and be at some incredible tavernas within minutes – not the touristy ones with English menus plastered outside, but the kind where locals argue about football over their morning coffee. I spent most evenings just wandering the narrow streets, and honestly, getting a bit lost in the historic center is half the fun. The apartment’s position means you’re close enough to hit the major sites without dealing with the chaos of staying right next to the Acropolis (trust me, you don’t want to be there when the tour buses arrive at 8 AM). The 8.9 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything just… works. Sure, the building itself shows its age a bit, and you might hear your neighbors occasionally, but that’s part of the charm of staying in the actual heart of Athens rather than some modern hotel district. If you want to experience Athens like you actually live there for a few days, this is your spot.

  Location was great, wirh lots of bars and restaurants, shops and cafes. we enjoyed the light and airy bedrooms and living room…comfortable beds and linen. The flat was very clean and stylishly decorated. Our host, arranged a driver to collect us from the airport and we had no trouble getting into the flat.

  Fantastic location, an easy walk to all the main sights and lots of lovely bars and restaurants just outside the front door. The host left a good list of sights, bars, restaurants, useful websites/apps.
  The apartment is spacious and clean. The bathroom and kitchen have been renovated.
  The main bedroom is a good size. The second bedroom is usually a small study. It has a pull-down bed which was comfortable but that is all that fits in the room and you can only access the bed from one side. There is no hanging/drawer space in that room. Just a small locked cupboard to put things on. But this did not bother me, easy to hang things in the main bedroom.
  Make sure you ask for the second bedroom to be made up if you are travelling with just two people and you need both beds.
  Good air-conditioning in the main bedroom and lounge room which we needed during our stay. The second bedroom doesn't have air-conditioning but we left the door open and nearby lounge room air con on and it was cool enough
  You can hear the noise from the nearby bars until late at night – again this didn't bother us but might others.
  The lounge room looks over to a rooftop bar called Monk (only open at night) – which we went to and it is lots of fun. The entrance is opposite the entrance to the apartment block.

  Excellent location. Very close to Monastiraki square. Walkable to many wonderful restaurants and bars. Nice apartment. Happy to see an elevator. Host is extremely easy to communicate with and is very responsive. Recommend a stay here!

  Everything is perfect. Apartment is spacious, clean, bright, airy and at central location just next to Monastiraki Ermou street. The host, Elena was friendly & provided all the help we need with airport transfer etc.. we appreciate every little things like quality towers/ cotton bed sheets, utensils, washing machine etc.. all smooth & Lovely stay!
