You know what struck me first about SV Acropolis Residence? Walking into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about what travelers need – not just what looks good in photos. The space feels lived-in but elegant, if that makes sense. I mean, it’s clearly a 4-star place, but without that sterile perfection that makes you afraid to touch anything.

The rooms here are honestly impressive, and I’m not just saying that because of the 9.9 rating (though honestly, that number makes more sense once you’ve stayed here). Everything feels intentionally designed – the lighting actually works for reading, the shower has proper pressure, and there are enough outlets where you actually need them. Small things, but you know how those details can make or break a stay. The beds are properly comfortable too, not just firm for the sake of being firm. I slept better here than I had in weeks, which might sound dramatic, but jet lag is real and a good mattress is worth its weight in gold.

What really sets this place apart though is the staff’s approach – they seem to genuinely know the area and aren’t just reciting rehearsed recommendations. When I asked about dinner options, the front desk guy actually paused and asked what kind of evening I was hoping for, then suggested this little taverna that wasn’t even the closest option but turned out to be exactly what I needed. That kind of thoughtfulness runs through the whole experience here. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, check-in was smooth (even though I arrived earlier than expected), and they handle the small requests without making you feel like you’re asking for the world. There’s also something to be said for a place that maintains that 9.9 rating – that doesn’t happen by accident, and you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. Sure, it’s not the flashiest hotel you’ll ever see, but sometimes what you really want is a place that just works beautifully without trying too hard to impress you.

  This apartment is perfectly located next the Acropolis. It was immaculately clean and had all of the convinces needed for a self-catering break. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful and his tips and recommendations were spot on.

  The location was perfect no car needed within 5-15 min walk to anything you would want to have or experience. The property was perfect for our family of 5 in all aspects. The highlight was Andrea’s, he was the most gracious and helpful host and went beyond. Every recommendation he provided was spot on. Thank you Andreas for making the end of our family vacation wonderful, safe and comfortable.

  It’s hard to describe what a fantastic stay we had. From the very beginning Andreas was incredibly helpful sending us useful information before our stay and responding to any queries we had incredibly promptly. The property itself is in a fantastic neighbourhood with some delicious places to eat and drink only a short walk away. The property was also immaculate with everything you needed or wanted. Andreas was easily contactable for the duration of our stay and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. If all properties were run like Andreas it would transform the hospitality industry. We will be back and staying for much longer next time!

  Andreas was an incredible host and thought of everything. He met us when we arrived, showed us around the house. He gave us many fantastic suggestions and helped us to book restaurants etc: The house also had every appliance, food, drinks all provided.. The location was also incredible.   Location was fab. Facilities were all as promised, the outdoor space with hot tub was a gorgeous space in the middle of Athens.
  Super comfy beds, wonderful linen, dressing.gowns for all.
  The welcome package (milk, OJ, wine, beer etc) was incredibly generous and really appreciated.
  Andreas, the owner, was fantastic in reaching out before we arrived in Athens, with lots of useful local info, and offered to book everything for us, including a couple of taxi rides.
  I would highly recommend this apartment, we were only sorry that we only had 2 nights there. It would be very easy to spend lot of time in this wonderful place, with loads to do in Athens. It's also in a wonderful neighbourhood full of good bars and restaurants, all very easy to walk to.

  Location of the apartment, the design and quality of furnishings, the hospitality of the host were all exceptional. Andreas showed us around the property and gave a detailed list of restaurant recommendations, several of which we tried and they were all well worth the visit. He even booked us a table when we decided to try one of the rooftop restaurants and we had a fabulous view of the acropolis over dinner.
