They don’t oversell it or make a big production, but the spread was solid – fresh fruit that actually tasted like something, decent coffee (not amazing, but definitely drinkable), and they had local pastries alongside the usual international stuff. I ended up chatting with other guests there most mornings, which doesn’t always happen at larger chain places where everyone’s rushing around with their phones.

The location works well if you want to explore on foot – you’re close enough to the main sights that you can walk, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with tour group crowds every time you step outside. There’s a small market around the corner that’s handy for grabbing water or snacks, and honestly, just wandering the surrounding streets gives you a better feel for how people actually live here than sticking to the main tourist drags.

Look, it’s not going to blow your mind or end up in some luxury travel magazine. But with an 8.2 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises – a comfortable, well-run place where you can settle in and use it as a proper base for exploring. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially if you’re planning to spend most of your time out and about anyway. The price point makes sense, the service feels genuine rather than scripted, and you’ll probably sleep better than expected.
