The whole setup feels like staying at your well-traveled Greek aunt’s place, if she happened to have impeccable taste and a 4-star budget. Honestly, I spent way too much time just sitting by the window in the morning, watching locals head to work while the Acropolis caught the early light. Evening walks toward the Pnyx Hill are pretty magical – you’ll pass families out with their kids and elderly men playing backgammon at corner cafés. Sure, you might hear some street noise if you’re a super light sleeper, but it’s city life, not chaos. I actually liked falling asleep to the distant sounds of people enjoying their neighborhoods.
