You know what really caught me off guard about Travel Resort? I wasn’t expecting much from a 4-star place – honestly, I’ve stayed at some “luxury” spots that felt more like fancy waiting rooms than actual retreats. But this place actually gets it right in ways that matter.

The lobby doesn’t try too hard with marble everywhere or those weird modern sculptures nobody understands. Instead, it’s got this comfortable, lived-in feeling that makes you want to settle into one of those oversized chairs with a book. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too – none of that “your room isn’t ready but here’s a voucher for overpriced lobby coffee” nonsense. The staff seems genuinely happy to be there, which I mean, you can always tell when people are just going through the motions versus actually caring about what they do.

What really won me over though was how they handle the small stuff. The rooms are solid – not Instagram-perfect, but everything works properly and the beds are actually comfortable (you’d be amazed how many places mess that up). The shower has decent water pressure, which honestly is half the battle these days. I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with the fancy toiletries that smell like a chemistry experiment – just good, simple stuff that does the job. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the property too, even by the pool area where these things usually die a slow death. Speaking of the pool, it’s not huge but it’s clean and never felt overcrowded, even when I was there during what seemed like a busy period. There’s enough deck space that you’re not playing musical chairs with lounge spots.

The restaurant situation is pretty decent – nothing groundbreaking, but they clearly put effort into sourcing good ingredients and the breakfast spread has enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying several days. I particularly liked their coffee setup; they’ve got both the fancy espresso machine and regular drip coffee, so everyone’s covered. Room service was reliable when I needed it, though not lightning fast. The whole place has this relaxed pace that grows on you – staff takes time to actually listen when you ask for something instead of rushing off mid-sentence. Parking was straightforward and included, which saved me from the usual resort nickel-and-diming. The location works well if you want to explore the area but also just decompress. It’s quiet enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open, but close enough to things that you don’t feel stranded. Overall, Travel Resort delivers on being a solid, reliable choice without any major surprises – good or bad. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  I stayed in the apartment for two nights, but it has everything for even longer vacation. The bed was comfortable and sitting on the balcony let's you feel like a local. The host is quick to answer and helpful! 🙂 I would recommend!

  The accommodation is a five – yenminute walk from victoria station, easy access to atation and main attraction, spacious accommodation for two.

  The host was really kind and helpful. The neighborhood was quite. Air conditioner was old but works perfectly.
  
  What could be improved: The bed and sofa in the room were really uncomfortable. Bath tub was so small, if you are a bit tall man/woman, taking a shower could be really difficult. The neighborhood was quite but also a bit creepy at night. After metro exit, you need to walk home around 10 min.

  The apartment is situated in a very central area of Athens, making it easy to go anywhere. The kitchen is small but handy if you want to make something simple.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is in dire need of renovation. The bed is a bit uncomfortable. The bathroom supposedly had a bath tub, which in reality barely fits one person standing up. If you pull the toilet flush you have to wait quite a while before you can flush again. Also it fell apart after a simple pull

  Owner was very polite, friendly and extremely responsive and helpful.
  The place was easy to find.
  It was bright and spacious and had cute decor. The shower was hot with good pressure, everything worked well, aircon, washing machine, fridge.
  7 min walk to metro, lots of supermarkets and places to eat nearby. Tap water drinkable and tasted good. Lift worked. Easy check in and out.
  
  What could be improved: Bed very squeaky, furniture could do with an upgrade. Not enough pillows.
  The area felt a bit dodgy for us coming from Australia.
