You know what caught me off guard about Vouliagmeni Apartments 18? It’s one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special that most tourists completely miss. I mean, with a 9.6 rating, clearly other people have figured it out too, but there’s still this intimate, almost residential vibe that bigger hotels just can’t pull off.

The apartments themselves are honestly impressive – and I say that as someone who’s stayed in way too many “apartment-style” places that turn out to be glorified hotel rooms with a mini-fridge. These feel like actual homes, with kitchens you’d genuinely want to cook in and living spaces where you can spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The attention to detail is what gets me though – proper coffee makers (not those pod things), decent Wi-Fi that actually works when you need to upload photos, and windows that open properly so you can get some real air circulation going. Small things, but they matter when you’re trying to settle in for more than just a night or two.

What really sells this place is the Vouliagmeni location itself. If you’ve never been to this part of the Athens Riviera, you’re missing out on something pretty magical. The famous thermal lake is close enough that you can walk there easily – and honestly, you should, because floating in those warm mineral waters while looking out at the Saronic Gulf is borderline therapeutic. The beach scene here is different from the chaos you get closer to central Athens; it’s more relaxed, more Greek families and fewer tour groups. There’s this excellent fish taverna about ten minutes away (locals will point you toward it) where the owner’s brother apparently brings in the catch daily – I had some of the best grilled octopus of my life there. The staff at the apartments actually gave us directions, which tells you something about how they think about guest experience. They’re not just checking you in and disappearing; they genuinely seem to want you to discover what makes this area special. Parking was surprisingly stress-free too – there’s dedicated space, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Athens traffic will appreciate. I stayed here during shoulder season, so I can’t speak to how crazy it gets in peak summer, but the vibe felt like it would stay pretty chill even when busier. The four-star rating feels right – it’s polished and well-maintained without being stuffy or overly formal. If you’re looking for something that splits the difference between a proper local experience and having all your creature comforts sorted, this place gets the balance just right.

  The location was great.
  
  What could be improved: For sure the facility doesn’t deserve the 10 score for review. First of all it was not clean when I checked in. There was hair all over the place , in the bed, on the floor in the bathroom sink.
  Also room is so dark and the lighting is really poor. Many switches and still I couldn’t get enough light in the room.
  For sure for the money I paid I could have stayed in a much nicer , cleaner and more comfort place in the same neighbourhood.

  L'apartament és tal com es veu a les fotos. Molt acollidor i bonic. Per treballar, té una taula gran i l'internet va molt de pressa. El jardí és fantàstic, el pots veure des de qualsevol lloc de l'apartament. La nevera és gran, la cuina completa i té rentadora.
  
  What could be improved: Es podria millorar el tema dels interruptors, te molts detalls d'il·luminació, però cada llum té el seu, es fa difícil recordar quin és quin i es podria posar un general per tancar totes les llums, sempre queda una oberta. Falta un llum lector al llit.

  Die Unterkunft ist 3 Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt. Mit dem Taxi in die Stadt hat man ca. 35 Minuten. Die Gastgeberin ist super lieb und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist sauber und hat alles was man braucht. Auf dem Balkon einen Café geniessen. Wir kommen wieder!
